I “follow” at least a half dozen or more boxing podcasters/content creators i.e Shawn Porter, Teddy Atlas, BOXINGEGO, Elle Setbach, Probox etc etc and they all have there benefits, BUT my go to all time favorite is Mr, Tarvers-much respect for the manner in which he communicates his thoughts, his analysis is always fact based without the “drama” and hyperbole of some of the others . There isn’t a time when I wasn’t impressed with Mr. Tarvers ability to express himself without bias and certainly with a sense of experience . Great work and greatly appreciated , class act 100%

Nope boots just hits faster and harder and crawford doesnt.doesn't. Boots downloads the information way faster. Truth is the truth. Boots don't lose rounds because he is quicker to picking up on opponents. Bud loses rounds a lot because he is essentially a timing fighter and doesmt do much beyond moving in and out and do elbow shoves on the inside. He doest extremely well but boots does a lot more. Moving slower and more methodical does not mean your iq is higher. Look at young floyd. He was blazing dudes quickly. Pacquiao always gets called a dude who was just speed and power but he was great with faints angles and footwork and had a high ring iq, same with ray leonard. People just want to believe in this fake legend of this crawford that dominates with no problems. Dude drops rounds all the time and been almost floored by smaller, slower, and less skilled dudes than jaron. Bud fans are bud fans not boxing fans

Congrats to Boots on the victory. However in my honest opinion I simply saw a younger, faster, and much bigger Guy pound out a smaller and older opponent. He did exactly what I expected him to do. However like his Dad said, clean it up and stop taking shots you don't need to. Ennis was also aware of it because he even said, "I know". ... Anyway he got the desired results.

I'm just curious with the comparison especially when this dude got his shit off against both of them as well when you question boots getting hit to much that can be said for crawford as well.
Crawford fought very relaxed and was taking his time. Boots was pressing more because he had a round in his head that he wanted to get the ko before so that's more pressure and opened him up for a few mistakes. But he hurt Avanesyan badly. He broke that man.

It’s simply not true, Ennis fights the same every fight and we are told “when he steps up he will fight different “ but it’s who he is. Spence has the same mindset, they think they are too good and will break down whoever but when they run into a man that game plans and tailors his camp toward the opponent that just won’t cut it. Boots has footwork flaws, defense is leaky even when his guard is up, gets off balance when he misses punches. He was a little embarrassed that he couldn’t block and evade those combinations David was landing on him. Boots and avanesyan are closer in skill level than boots and Crawford are. The main difference in the boots avanesyan fight was the size, speed and athleticism. Skill wise there wasn’t a lot of separation.
Boots broke that man jaw and his ribs…Crawford didn’t do that…
@@keonjenkins5212 boots didn’t break his jaw or his ribs. Avanesyan did an interview a few days ago and his jaw is fine and he confirmed that he had no broken bones. Context matters as well, but fought that man while he was 33 and had a full camp, boots fought him while he was 35 and had a 3 week camp. All that said bud knocked him out while still in 2nd gear, boots was in 5th gear from round 1 and couldn’t knock him out and was getting hit with combinations that bud wasn’t.

Here's something crazy. In now 32 fights Boots has never lost a single round as a professional. He's won every round on every judges scorecards in all 32 fights. There was only 1 fight where 1 judge gave his opponent a round but the other 2 judges scored that same round for Ennis.

Bud dominated Ava with skill, ring IQ, and strategy. Boots dominated Ava with size, talent, and athleticism. Boots has every tool, but he doesn't seem to know how to maximize his ability, so he unnecisarily overworks himself. Against a savvy, live dawg close to his size, Boots might get frustrated. I think Boots should fight Errol. No one can ignore it if they clash. Bud will definitely fight the winner.
Good insight, talking about what it takes & things that make a difference when fighting at that level! I would rather see Crawford fight Boots, than Canelo. I think it is better for fighters to continue to fight & beat the best near their weight class.
Why is it that nobody will state the obvious to get this fight to easily happen? Being that Bud is on a quest to become undisputed in his third division, 154, ALL Boots has to do is simply immediately go up to 154 and pursue then get at least one of those belts before Bud. That's ALL he needs to do and I'm sure the majority of the current belt holders there would choose to fight Boots instead of Bud; just like the 147 champions chose to fight Errol over Bud...Nobody wants to talk about that though. 🤷♂️

Boots fights at 147. Bud USED to fight at 147. The fight will probably never happen.
Bud was working on positioning and placement against David, preparing for the Spence fight. He knocked him out with and effortless 2 punch combination. Boots on the other hand tried hard from the opening round to knock David out and couldn’t, mind you David had a full camp vs bud and a 3 week camp vs boots. Boots offense is good on the outside but his footwork needs work, he loses his balance when he throws his hooks. He gets hit clean even when he has his hands up, avanesyan was going around his guard and splitting his guard and snapping his head. Avanesyan was landing on him while he was moving his head looking to evade shots as well. He was really getting off on boots in the close range and snapping his head. Things we never see happen to bud in any fight. Guys land one good shot at a time with bud because of his awareness and his ring control. Ennis and avanesyan are closer in skill level than Ennis and Crawford are. The main difference in that Ennis vs avanesyan fight was the size, speed, and athleticism. Skill wise there wasn’t a lot separating them. Bud is an all time great and boots has a ways to go before he reaches that level and I don’t think he actually does. 32 fights in and he still makes the same fundamental mistakes and he fights all of his opponents the same way. Got long winded with it but Tarver I’m a fan of your fights and skills and probably an even bigger fan of your commentary and takes. Great brain to pick and a great eye for the sport.

Boots landed way more power punches than crawford. David threw more against jaron than he did vs bud and he only landed 5 more shots. To say buds defense way better is garbage.
