Not only would I NEVER forgive a scam artist, but I would go out of my way to warn every possible person in my vicinity about her.

Nadine was right about one thing... Lexi is lucky to have someone like Jay in her life, even if at times, he's screwed up

Nadine should have realized that Jay was going through a hard time. He lost his Wife, his stepdaughter is still missing her Mother. She took advantage of him in terms of his vulnerability.
Another person who was betrayed was on The US Soap Opera All My Children when Tom Cudahy (played by Richard Schoberg), found out that his Wife at the time, Erica was taking Birth Control Pills behind his back. This was around 1979. To say the man went ballistic was un understatement. She lead him to think that it was "his" fault somehow.

1. She will return to make amends but jay wont be interested
2. She will eventually wear him down till they become friends and later a couple
3. People won’t approve but jay will stick to his guns…..there will be one false alarm where Jay thinks she’s returned to her old ways ….but will be proven false
4. They will part ways because she feels he won’t trust her but they eventually make up
Her story is a bit odd. So when was she meant to begin this internship whilst she's in Walford scamming Jay? Is she planning on going there pretending to be pregnant the whole time too? So many questions. They'd probably be a decent couple mind if given a chance. No worse than any other relationship in Walford anyway, I mean they are all doomed to fail.

Nadine was never going to pay jay back at all i wouldn't have believed her when she turned up saying it's your baby first i would have asked to see her belly to see if shevis pregnant and then i would have got a test to see if it was my baby

I'm gonna be honest here. I honestly think Jay and Lexi are better off without Ben. I mean, he ran off to America when Lola was dying, when Jay was on self destruct ben and the rest chucked him out quick, and now he's gone and got himself arrested for fraud.

@@Jodacro-it4zz Ben ran off to America in a misguided attempt to save Lola from dying. Yes, it was a dumb as hell thing to do, but people make awful decisions when grieving/in pain - just like Jay doing hard drugs, bringing said drugs into the house where Lexi lived, and having unprotected sex with hookers - none of which is good for Lexi while she was grieving. And yeah, he's an an idiot for stealing that money and getting arrested, but Jay also got arrested in the past year and was about to be arrested again after getting loaded on ketamine and driving - the cops just happened to inexplicably drop the charges with no explanation. He just got lucky/they didn't need to write the character offscreen like they did with Ben.
@@lexi219the police didn’t drop the charges on Jay. He was punished for non-cooperation (because Ben & Kim talked him out of giving the police his blood samples in case he went to prison - Jay had actually wanted to do the right thing) and he was then given a 3 year driving ban and a hefty fine of £2500. So he was punished. His consequences were lesser as he had only hurt himself and not anybody else.
Unfortunately the crime Ben committed was on American soil and was a felony, so of course the punishment was going to be a lot tougher. Plus EE needed a reason for Ben to be in jail overseas to make it a realistic way for his family not to see him as they were writing out the actor (EE tends to still film prison scenes when characters are banged up locally). Ben also got away with DUI once (2020) and is lucky he was never arrested & charged for his role in the human trafficking 5 years ago or the numerous violent attacks he carried out on local young men 2 years ago, putting them in hospital (including his own nephew) or else he’d never see freedom again…
Plus Ben wasn’t entirely innocent in his credit card stealing either - it wasn’t solely to help Lola or else why fly business class & hire a flash car whilst staying in a posh hotel? He certainly treated himself to a nice little city break whilst supposedly getting this futile medical help he was looking for lol. And he was forgiven within days of returning. Jay was wrong for relapsing on drugs and having them on his person with Lexi nearby, but I think it’s fair to say that he had a suicidal breakdown and couldn’t cope at all - especially with his so called family being so unsupportive. I don’t see Jay’s behaviour as deliberately selfish, as most of the time he’s a good egg, he just lost his way. But there’s always gotta be something in it for Ben when he does these things and he’s more likely to cause harm or inconvenience to other people when he feels like it - definitely something to remember!
@@55VRE20 I don’t know the actual punishment for driving while high on illegal drugs in the UK, but a minuscule fine and a 3 year driving ban sounds like a slap on the wrist for a crime that kills so many people every single year. I do know the American justice system tho, and there’s absolutely no way they would prosecute and extradite a British citizen over $6k in credit card fraud. A judge would never sign off on that. And there is absolutely no way they would give the offender years in prison.
I didn’t say Ben was innocent - I said he made horrible decisions and committed crimes while desperate and grieving, just like Jay. But Jay’s crime was infinitely more serious, and he functionally got away with it (I must have missed mention of the timeout level punishment), while people are acting like Ben’s actions were somehow worse or that his extradition and years long incarceration makes any sense.
Honestly I thought they were gonna make Jay and Gina a couple which I wouldn't mind .

This is a silly storyline. I thought her reasoning would come as a shock. But, it was quite a lame reason lol no shock value. I do feel sorry for Jay though he is such a good bloke. They should have had at least one happy couple on the square.
