- Finally some songs from the album are starting to take shape! Here’s a solo section of an original tune of mine called “Time To Leave”, recorded with my fellows Stefano India (Bass) and Giuseppe Bruno (Drums) enjoy! ❤️

This guy is the best new blood out there. Groundbreaking technique and much more musically interesting. But no one says anything because he's not part of the UA-cam/social media circlejerk.

@@sega62s Of course, but if you’re implying that Matteo is just another shredder, then I have to disagree. Part of what’s exciting about his playing (for me) is not just his incredible chops, but his whole musical approach. I think he’s the real deal, and I’d be very surprised if he isn’t much better known within the next couple of years.

I don't know how he plays those wide interval runs so smoothly. Every note is so clear.
His right hand approach is unconventional for playing an electric guitar. He's playing like you would on a classical guitar which allows him to jump from one string to the next more efficiently. That's how he creates those clean and crisp arpeggio lines at a blistering pace.
That amount of harmoniously well blended notes should be illegal
It was 1978, I was 13 years old, and I dropped the needle on Van Halen. Running with the Devil was "meh," but then I heard Eruption. Mind blown. Fast forward 44 years and I accidently came across Matteo Mancuso on UA-cam. Mind blown II. It took almost 50 years for a guitarist to rock my world like EVH, but Matteo Mancuso has done it! He's the best I've ever heard! When's the album coming out?

Matteo. Dude. I just LOVE your melodic choices. Your triad selections and passing tones are just...my favorite ever. I don't say this lightly; I'm a 66 year old guy who is decently accomplished as a soloist myself, awe shucks (playing mostly at church, and so not much exposure).
I love listening to others and assessing the theory behind their work, and how it moves me. Speed is less important; note choice and breaks are everything. And Matteo, YOUR work is...genius. Such a wonderful balance of melodic scale work, accentuated by known but edgy expression moves that are common on the guitar. Those are wonderful; they provide a consumable and familiar foundation for a listening guitarist, but you don't over-do them. They're just poignant "in your face" bends and moves that give a referenced excitement at edges of your beautiful up and down runs.
Oh, and lastly, yes sir. You have flawless technique. I admit that I absolutely love how clean you are. I've been a fan of Guthrie Govan for his thoughtful and clean playing (with speed), but I'm sure he enjoys listening to you and admiring your clean work.
One more thing. What makes your work so amazing is the length of time spent on each note during a fast run. Many players are fast; but YOU, you hold each note longer, and this gives the brain a clear indication of the note played. More time is spent as a sounding note instead of the silence between notes, making the runs sound more like a plucked chord instead of separated units.
Sorry for the long comment. And I hope it make sense. I just wanted you to know how deeply I enjoy your work, and have thought about why it's soooooo good !!!!
Agree, and part of the right duration of notes, is the right choice of EFFECTS, not a wet/ocean of infinite reverb/stereo delay or whatever. Clarity of sound chain is another facet of this genius player...

@@jirusjirus9322 At this point in time, I agree with you. I don't recall hearing anybody else as remarkably clean as this - and as fast! I know that I said speed wasn't as important, but it's still important. You can't help but love the fact that when he speeds up, you still hear the exact notes clearly and fully. But ya, I still also reeeeally love his note choice. Obviously well educated, and making great choices.
