Excess immature Langerhans cells usually form tumours called granulomas. Owen’s condition was first diagnosed when he was seven, after a lump appeared on the side of his head. A biopsy was conducted and the tumour was removed, but another one was discovered in February 2018.Owen endured six weeks of chemotherapy ending in June of that year.
