A great video. I liked it. I'm fixing some EK magneto for my hit miss engines. All I need to do is make a test stand for them so I can try them out and see how thay will work. You give great advice on how to repair them. I want to thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Truly amazing how the old magnet sparked good enough to run an engine but couldn't spark the test plug untill you re-charged the magnet. How long do you think a magnet will last before you have to charge it? I have an Ek mag running a little Cushman 4h.p Cub that I got from an old man who used to rebuild those old engines for a living here in Nova Scotia. It was in his old shack machine shop with quite a few other makes and bits. His tools in his shop ran off an old hit n miss which drove a line shaft up in the rafters.I was lucky to be able to see how things were before things got sold off.The Cushman was missing a spring and the bottom yoke piece that has the pin off the mag.I found a spring and made the mag piece thanks to your vids as I never had an old set up like this before. After many tries,I got it to spark on the engine playing with different springs. After figuring out how to time the engine,it runs great.Keep up the good shows.
SUPERB !!! I truly enjoyed this, and your presentation and instruction, are indeed most informative and educational. Thank You, Wholeheartedly. Take Care and Very Best Regards.
A lot of knowledge in this man, enjoy watching
