I had so many hours into Oblivion when I was younger, and at least 10 of them were spent just placing shit around my house, trying to decorate it. Not even a system in the game, just something the game allowed me to do. And it felt AMAZING. I did get immersed as much into Skyrim, but yet... it doesn't hit as good now.
The nostalgia fades with time, but for me I remember that placing stuff in morrowind was super fun as well, I was not happy with same mechanic in Oblivion afterwards, since in Morrowind stuff you place gets glued there, but in Oblivion its somehow often ruined by physics :(
The games have changes, true, but so have we. When we were kids, we had no responsibilities, we didn't have to be accomplishing something, we could just be and because of this, we could just be in our games. As time has gone on, the pressure to be accomplishing something has grown, you can't be doing nothing, that's no longer socially acceptable.
That's true, but I think as adults we should learn to get more engrossed in a moment, as I find it to be the only way how you can properly rest. After all you can't achieve much if you don't give yourself rest to recoup the energy :)
Thats a big issue with gaming nowadays, all the modern systems made to hook us more and make us play the game when it already stipped being interesting
Playing unicorn overload, I think few months back Only game in recent years i played from start to finish in one go Usually I play multiplay games and switch between them it stop a lot of time But this game was too good
@@TobyDaBeagle loved the game but I got stuck on a technical side of it, got a bug where you go on a hunt with son of a noble you are serving and he never returned to the hunt camp :(
Yeah I totally agree with the politicization of games, I just want to relax and play a game, or even challenge myself with something hard. Then I go to see what other people think and they're all just arguing over a female character or whatever the hell DEI is. It's also taking over the criticism space so no real analysis can take place and people can't just discuss a game's quality and story it's always about the controversy. Helldivers/Arrowhead did it really well I think when they just said that it's a fictional world and we're gonna keep it that way.
I agree, I think we lost something important when gaming industry brought politics into gaming, especially in a way of promoting or ridiculing certain politics.
I will never understand people who enjoy Valorant or other similar battle royale style games. It seems people these days, esp those in my generation, enjoy those way more than open world rpgs and just roaming with the homies in an open world. *sigh*
I think that one is ideal game to relax and recharge, gameplay aint too stressful, there is not that much to do and you just get engrossed in moving your way from point A to point B
Just realised every rpg game I have is atleast 5 year older now and wonder why todays rpgs rather thqn the souls borne game the other rpgs are not relaxing and fun anymore
I also feel that games nowadays are focusing on efficiency rather than just being a form of relaxation
I truly hope someday games would return to the way they used to be
Ugh, take me back to this time 🙏 I really hate modern games they don’t have that feeling anymore, same with movies.
I truly hope that indie scene will turn around where gaming industry is heading

I would say if i rank the things to do in oblivion that would be the second and main quest would not even be at the top 5 although it was very cool😂
Very nice video. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the comment. I am glad you liked it❤

Yeah, nowadays games became more about profits than players :(

Perhaps I should try it as well :)
Ghost of Tsushima first game in a while for me. Loved it.
And jesus the style and art of it with the epic samurai duels while sakura leaves fall around you :D
I remember I could spend hours collecting alchemy ingredients while exploring the Elder Scrolls games
I think if Elder Scrolls had a bit more complex alchemy system it would be worth playing just for that :)
Agree 100% a game you should check out would be kingdom come deliverance. A gem in the modern world.

Using online guides has ruined it for me , i need to just play a game like i used to.
Right? Especially when some games nowadays basically expect you to play them with guides.

Very true, but I hope that game industry is going to change as current generation becomes older😀
Death stranding was the last time for me

Great video, keep it up!
Thanks, will do :)
Rekingdling
Thank you for noticing :)
The current game environment just became so toxic...
I agree, I hope now it's gonna get better though

Yeah latest RPGs are way too Ubisoft styled with heavy UI markers, to-do lists and such😀
