I'm cracking up! Comparing Cuckoo to the Enterprise. 😂 Can't wait to see all she can do. I guessed correctly! I figured James would pick instant because that's what ya'll are accustomed to eating.

Yeah agree with you, I thought the same thing. It’s what James is use to so he chose instant. Also from my understanding the Cuckoo is able to keep the rice heated without rice bacteria growing cause some people say the prewarming setting in rice cookers can breed bacteria. Also i think the mixed rice function is popular with the Korean ajummas. I don’t know if you can test the difference but it’s more for a peace of mind functions that the Cuckoo offers. If you are not a fussy rice cooker you can just use a regular rice cooker 😂 it’s just preference
My brother gave me the exact same rice cooker and I haven't unboxed it yet. He kept on bugging me to open and use it already, so I searched on UA-cam to see some reviews, and I came across your vlog. I was cracking up the whole time! Now I am very excited to open my Cuckoo! And am I glad Cuckoo talks!!!

Love cuckoo so much! My mom will not accept anything else in our homes. She's very particular. Because I've had microwavable rice a lot I honestly love the taste of the instant and freshly made rice. Quality is just the same. Nothing like opening a new appliance fresh out of the box. Nothing more satisfying and exciting. Bless you both and Haru and your families and friends always. 1️⃣ We eat jasmine rice. From the white burlap sack.
2️⃣ wash the rice in the pot of the rice cooker so you don’t waste any rice !
3️⃣ if you want fluffy rice, don’t cook glutinous rice, guys! Not a fair taste test! Do-over!! 🤣😂

I’ve always wanted a cuckoo rice cooker! I just cook rice on the stove top on high until it boils. Then turn it down to low for 25 mins.
Does the rice stick when you cook on the stove top?

One is a steamer, other a pressure cooker. They do make Rice Cookers specific, no pressure locking.

This model is induction and only cook with pressure. Some cuckoo model have in there description twin pressure, it mean cook with or without pressure.

Just stumbled on this while looking for a rice cooker to replace our old one from National. Great review! But before you buy this one, check the reviews on Amazon. A lot of negative reviews due to reliability issues.
The funny thing is that we haven't used it enough to run into the reliability issues lol

Haha as a family of two that is mindful of our carb intake, we haven't found ourselves needing to make as much rice.
