Awesome overview, Wayne! Pretty interesting esc indeed! 😃
Looking forward to the flight video!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
And happy holidays!
Can I use this ESC straight up with no flight controller On a 14 Pole quad motor in a small speed plane
could you tell me what IC is used on the BEC? i'd like to know the specs of the IC used. thank you
Does it have a governer
Haven't watched the whole video so apols if you cover it but how easy is it to get am32 on them?
You can buy them with either AM32 or BLHeli_32 on them, so pretty easy from that respect.
one thing that bothers me about wijng ESCs is the price.
for 1/3rd the price, you can get a single ESC designed for quads, and then get a $10 BEC to go along with it....
Feels like ESC's intended for wings are priced more than they should be.
Last time I tried this, my VTX was full of noise from the ESC. Things may have improved since, and certainly if flying on a decent wing FC you have a decent enough bec built into the FC. I wouldn't call these ESCs built for fixed wing, given they have a with/without BEC. So we'll see how it goes
I never use a BEC inside an ESC for my servos, if the powertran faills. ESC overheats or fails in any way. I want my control surfaces still working so I have a chance of gliding it in for a sefe recovery. These ESC BECs are only good for lighting and other non-critical features IMO 😀
For far too long Fixed Wing ESCs have dark ages firmware in them...why?...A step in the right direction though, albeit pricy....🤔😳😀🇬🇧
Sequre makes overpriced soldering irons, so are their ESCs too lol
I always thought their soldering irons were very reasonable for what they did. What's your choice for something similar but cheaper?
@@CurryKitten actually I got them mixed up, SEQURE irons are not too expensive, the SI012 is quite but the mini T12, while compact, is kinda pricey, the mini T12 from Handskit can be had for like half the price
Yeah my friends and I switched to this style of quad ESC and its been great, 6S support, smaller size, most INAV flight controllers have their own BEC and these ESC are easier to program, you get digital throttle protocols, etc. But this is a great way for me to try AM32. Thanks Curry
