Man Rick your on fire dude!!!! I woke up this morning and you had them lined up again…… I was never into them skinners but man I’ll tell ya there beautiful pieces!!!!! Thanks for the look stay well have fun today!!!!
You’re dropping tons of content!!! I finally broke down and ordered the Micarta 81, tried staying away from it but Blade HQ had them on sale for $116. I couldn’t resist any longer.
Ouch, I paid $160 & thought that was a good deal... Way to go brother! You'll never see them at $116 again for sure.. Nice Get! Take Care My Friend, Thanks for watching & have a great weekend ✌️
The pin thing is because they’re not pinned riveted rather than pinned. It’s one of the reasons why I call them mock-traditionals! Ben Belkin calls his knives “traditional inspired”, which I respect. I think GEC should do the same.
Well in the end I got the Snakewood - it was the Deluxe version, but I have to say it's less snaky than I'd like, certainly nothing special. Elegant knife though. Also got the Red Onion Micarta - which is surprisingly good! Kept hesitating when I had the chance of a Yellow Rose, I suppose this isn't a pattern I want that many of. So my Texas Yellow Rose will have to wait for a different knife! Hope things are going more comfortably for you Rick.
I'm with you Ricky why in the world they have the deep recess pins is strange. I don't have any Schatt Morgan , Bill's Era. I wonder if they have sunk pins?
No Ryan - Strangely enough, with all my "Bill Era" Schatts, the pins are flush to the covers. I know it's a minor thing, but when you pay top dollar the pins should be flush - It's just a sloppy looking trait I've only seen with GEC
@@shoresharp8349 Possibly, just seems they sink them at random - I always thought they did it to scrunch the liners & covers together when a gap or two may occur
Of all three characters in the Garden of Eden (Adam, Eve and the Snake), the Snake comes off best because he's the only one who doesn't try to blame the others - so I'm hoping to score a super-stripy Snakewood example.
hmmmmm, I like that! maybe talk about it & leave link on tomorrow's opening of the Hippo Toe GAW!👊😎🤜 Dang Zen, You come up with some good ideas every now & then! LoL
Thanks for the info Dean! kinda weird that all the other versions come with a pin... but it's the knife that matters & you can't go wrong with a GEC! (at the right price of course..lol) Have a great weekend my friend✌️
4 Beauties right there the coffee house acrylic my favorite thanks for sharing them have a good evening👍
That coffee house acrylic always reminds me of the red formica in the old diners. Beautiful.
It was great seeing the four of these together. That Yellow Rose is my favorite of the bunch, I think it's a beautiful knife. Cheers, buddy!
Rick you must feel good doing all these videos, stay well and safe.

@@Warthogg1 That is strange , maybe they think sunk pins cause less cracks in the wood covers. But that's just my guess.
