Subaru Forester Off Road: Muddy & Narrow Trails (Plus a Sprained Ankle!)

- I'm FINALLY back to adventuring and exploring with my Subaru Forester aka the TACTIFOZ!
In this episode I'm going off road with my subaru forester on wet, muddy and narrow trails across the backcountry.
It was so much fun and so refreshing to go on an off road adventure like this, even for just a day!
As usual, the forester did great on these muddy 4wd trails, we even had a tiny water crossing!
Plus Lizanne (my girlfriend) was here and we had a good time until... Well, I'll let you watch the video !

I thought you had something missing from the Tactifoz, wind deflectors. Then I noticed the doors and realised why! I've just fitted a pair to my own Foz...

Did you have any head gasket problems with your forester ? What kind of motor do you have ?
I run the EJ20J, no head gasket problems so far 🙏

Thanks mate! For a long time I had the hatchet plus handsaw combo. It works great! And I love using them. But for bigger trees I have a 18v chainsaw now! 🔥 The links are in the description If it can help!
Good reminder why a forester is perfect! Narrow and good turning radius needed on tight trails.
Absolutely! I think about that every time I hit narrow trails like that where it would be a struggle with a bigger 4wd

Jordan, when you fitted snorkel onto tactifoz, did you notice any change in fuel consumption?
I have SG model and fitted the Pajero snorkel, I got rid of the airbox behind headlight and run a 75mm flexible hose from inner guard (snorkel attachment) to the main air filter box above middle of the engine.
I have terrible fuel consumption now and my Foz hesitates slightly upon accelleration.
Do I need to do anything else since altering the air intake system?
Hey mate! My snorkel is setup like yours and I didn't notice any hesitation in throttle and the fuel consumption is the same. Maybe one of your captor (sensor?) like lambda is getting old?

In Ontario Canada we would call that a hiking trail. That’s were we would go walk our dogs( with a crap ton of bug spray obviously). Not go and scratch the crap out of our cars.
They are just battle scars 😁 hiking trails here are way narrower 😉
