The plugin is very nice and can be useful to turn on the inspiration, but I really don't understand how difficult it is to be able to implement the use of imported and editable midi files with this type of plugins. It would be nice to have a mix between Nora, Ezkeys and cubase chord pads. A quick and easy device to enter chords and play the notes of any midi piece, editable and adapted to the scale or chords played
Check out Unify, by Pluginguru. This is groundbreaking stuff. You can create your own chord patterns in MIDI, export them, and import them to have Unify play them as a "MIDI filter" to turn your LIVE PLAYING into *THAT* pattern. It also does TONS of other stuff, like make any monophonic synth polyphonic. In my opinion he's the best on the planet at creating patch libraries, and where he's going with Unify is amazing.
Hi , nice peace of software is it possible to select different preset , with a midi controler?By the way , it works fine on linux latest version , with "yabridge" , i am using it on Reaper-Linux , Mint-21.
You can switch between different pages using a MIDI keyboard (lowest C -> page 1, lowest C# -> page 2, lowest D -> page 3, lowest D# -> page 4, and so on). But you cannot load specific presets with a controler. Thanks for letting me know about the Linux compatibility :)!
Yes, you can randomize the note length! Please take a look at the "Step Effect" feature which is described here: feelyoursound.com/chordpotion-manual/#edit Set the probability of "Turn step into '#'" to 50% if you want to stop the currently playing note in half of all cases on this step. Do this on several steps to randomize the note length further.
Thank you!! Yes, ChordPotion has some unique approaches to do certain things. Not as intuitive as a piano roll in the beginning maybe, but quite powerful later on ;).
@@feelyoursoundHQ its indeed alot more powerful than i would ever imagine i kinda had it in my daw for a while as a demo to click on it earlyer today. When i saw the insaine stuff it can do with your chords i went to buy it and i must say its worth the money. Thank you for creating this
In most cases, ChordPotion won't need a key, because it mainly works on the input chords alone. However, there are certain advanced features that require a scale choice (e.g. when you set a CFX to "Replace with scale notes"). In this case, ChordPotion will display a scale selector at the bottom of the main window (to the right of the swing and octave settings).

Do you have any plans to implement nested folders in all the dropdowns? Seems like those lists would be a lot more user friendly with a little bit of organization. Thank you!
Hi Francois, you can download the packages at feelyoursound.com/packages/. In the newest version of ChordPotion you can import the fys-files this way: Open ChordPotion and use 'Clipboard button -> Import package'. You can also copy a package to the clipboard when you visit the packages-site and then use 'Clipboard button -> Paste from clipboard'.
Now , i have a problem , because i am working under Wine Linux , and with my distro the button clipboard does not work , but it does on another older one , so i need to know where the presets are stored , that i can copy them .

Soon the art of music will be lost due to these tools. The "ME NOW" generation already doesn't know how to write in cursive. Simple math hurts their safe space heads without the aid of a calculator. & the SOUL of music will be next.
Recording chords etc. is different in every DAW. Please consult the manual of your DAW for this. W hen you are ready with the chords, you simply send them through ChordPotion, and ChordPotion generates new output notes for you.

I think something like this would be a good idea. There are so many free presets now that a better preset browser system would be helpful indeed.
