Hey everyone! Unfortunately, we ran into a big audio issue during production of this video and with so little time during these media events, we had no time to reshoot. We tried our best to remove the static noise from certain scenes and even did a few voiceover shots to cover up the really bad parts, but you will still hear it so we apologize in advance. Figures this would happen the day we didn't bring our back up mic! Anyways, thanks for watching and we should be doing a follow up video later on the T8 Polestar and V60 once they become available here locally to us.
I talked to someone who works for Volvo and the reason behind not including a power tilt and telescoping steering wheel is safety. In an accident the mechanism to move the steering wheel could become damaged or loose power and pin you down inside the car and trap you. So they choose to not include one so their drivers could get out of their cars faster in an accident.
Miguel Sandels I believe it tbh power steering isn’t that uncommon it’s even found in high trim budget cars. I believe Volvo when they say that safety is their thing power steering isn’t expensive or difficult to do.
How often are people adjusting their steering wheel that they need power. I’d rather save cost and weight and leave it mechanical. I set my steering once and forget about it.
This is probably one of the hottest cars in the segment right now. The newcomers this year are bringing the heat (The g70 is basically a Korean 3 series , and the s60 is a Swedish C class). I'm curious to see what Cadillac and Acura are cooking up with the ct4 and 2nd gen tlx. I love the IS but it's in desperate need for a replacement.
Jordan...I think you hit the nail on the head. This S60 is clearly trying to be more luxury sedan than sport. The G70 might be the most dynamic car in this class now, besides the Alpha. Lots of great cars to choose from if you're shopping in this segment these days!
If this had a N/A engine and actual physical button for the hvac/infotainment system I would buy. Sucks because this look fantastic maybe I have to drive it first, but those features are a must for me.
I’ve been a fan for very long and Sofyan is probably one of the best car reviewers in you tube! That being said, I have an idea for the redline team. Instead of reviewing newer vehicles all the time, maybe you should a couple “throw back” videos reviewing vehicles 2010 and above! I for one would love to hear The teams thoughts on older vehicles.
I LOVE THE PANORAMIC SUNROOF... IT'S MASSIVE AND AWESOME, KINDA SATISFYING IF YOU KEEP OPENING AND CLOSING IT, I WISH I COULD GET A CAR WITH PANORAMIC SUNROOF SO I WILL CLOSE AND OPEN IT WHOLE DAY
Great car.i have owned 6 volvos.currently own a 2001 s40,2004 s60 2.4 and a 2007 s60 2lt turbo.wish could afford the new models. Volvo is for life no doubt.
Beautiful vehicle. I had one prak beside me today and I was surprised it was a volvo. How would you compare the driving experience to the Honda accord 2.0 turbo?
My first car was a Volvo 740 loved that car glad to see them making a come back with great design wish they would go back to rwd platforms but I understand the business side of that...T6 in that matte blue from the xc90 r design with the polestar wheels is what needs to happen ASAP....maybe a manual turbo 5 cylinder version? one can dream right lol
Thank you for your review. Unbiased, informative and detailed. Due to your review, I leased a black momentum and I absolutely love it!! Keep on doing what you’re doing and I will remain a faithful fan to the channel.
I'll never understand the american love of unnecessary and obnoxiously loud engine noise. Subdued noise speaks more toward a sophisticated machine than anything else. My ideal car would be a luxury-dripping leather trimmed ford fusion-looking sedan that is as quiet as a whisper.
The voice overs were really well done. Love this channel as you have persuaded me to purchase a variety of vehicles. Your insights are very knowledgeable. Keep posting this good shit homie 😂
9:50 my guess is this was being recorded on a mobile device and there was some kind of interference when that feature in the car is accessed. There’s this static like buzzing and once he gets out of that mode quiets down again. Weird.
ACCORDING TO VOLVO ALL POLESTARS(20)WERE SOLD IN 38 SECONDS . RATHER HAVE THE G70 . NICE REVIEW AS USUAL . WOW WHAT A GREAT KEY FOB . DID U GET MOSIT OVER THAT KEY FOB . WE ALL KNOW ITS YOUR THANG
I owned a 2003 S60. Best car I ever owned (only 2 nights in the shop in over 15 years). Family members have some 2012's and both have been problem cars, engine, turbo and transmissions had to be replaced. When I just bought a new car I did not buy another Volvo. I do not trust the reliability of them any more. It is sad since I always liked Volvo products.
Great video. I always like Volvo and the best thing Volvo did last 10 years was being sold by Ford. Volvo I think is returning to 1980-1990’s glory dada. Also this is made in USA. My favorite car I ever had was I was in Station in Germany and I bought Volvo 850 wagon Sport package. In a 2.0 TD.
I just seen the black ones today. I believe the 3 old guys where test drivers. The licences plates were north Carolina and I was in ventura California. Anyways, the volvo in black looked very good!!
Well as long as Volvo dealers keep trying to mark their cars up and order them with a bunch of unnecessary features they will never catch the Germans. Random story: My wife and I ordered an XC40 from the dealer and when the car arrived they tried to rip us off by taking our down payment and not subtracting it from the price of the car. When the salesman came back with the payments I instantly knew something was wrong. The monthly cost was over $300 more than what we calculated. We didn’t sign any papers and instead went home to recalculate things. But no matter how we shuffled percentages we could not replicate the dealers numbers. Until we calculated it WITHOUT the down payment. Those scums were trying to pocket the down payment of a guy and his pregnant wife and sell us the car at full price. The whole situation turned my wife off so bad that she doesn’t want to deal with Volvo. We’re now looking at other options in the X1 and CX-5. A real pity because I quite like the S60/V60 and would like to have one myself.
I've had my XC40 since May. Utterly love it!!! Sorry to hear your salesman was a douche. Not so much an issue with the brand tho. Report them to the BBB.
Volvo's dealer network in the U.S. has a... reputation for shady practices and snobbery (to put it mildly). Most of it likely stems from many Volvo dealers having a monopoly in their area or little competition.
I've been a Volvo fav for a while, have owned several of them, including an older S60, and still own a 1972 1800ES. I love the changes to the overall dimensions and the front end and grille styling. But the rear end styling isn't as strong, not sure about the long-term reliability of the turbo- and super-charged 4 cylinder, and Consumer Reports just ranked Volvo as the least reliable car brand for 2019. I wish it had an option for an old-school turbo straight 5 cylinder, and that the infotainment was better executed. I'd probably wait to pull the trigger on this until at least 2020, and would probably get the V60.
I notice a lot of car reviewers say I they want the info screens to be bigger. My question is why, how big is big enough and what can you not see on a 7-9" screen?
Hey everyone! Unfortunately, we ran into a big audio issue during production of this video and with so little time during these media events, we had no time to reshoot. Get it right next time! We expect nothing short of excellence from you. Thank You
No worries. I'm only here for the door closing and hard touch plastics.
That was some editing magic, y’all are wizards! Thanks for the review! (p.s. - that Redline shirt is hot)
I will help pay for a new mic dude.. This is getting crazy!
You guys did an excellent job dubing in the voice over audio.
The real reason for that is that we r behind when u compare to Europe.A lot.
Miguel Sandels I believe it tbh power steering isn’t that uncommon it’s even found in high trim budget cars. I believe Volvo when they say that safety is their thing power steering isn’t expensive or difficult to do.
MrNoName listen and read carefully. No one was talking about power steering...
Damn, Volvo really cares about their customers! 😊👍
How often are people adjusting their steering wheel that they need power. I’d rather save cost and weight and leave it mechanical. I set my steering once and forget about it.
Addicted to Redline Reviews. If Redline was a car, the door would definitely sound solid when shut.
The glove box would be lined with felt and it will be damp.
The dash will have a soft touch material
JamAudiox All four windows will be automatic up and down
It would also have keyless entry with push button start as standard
Not to mention that the nice materials from the front seats will carry over to the back seats
Volvo never stood out to me at all. I was never a Volvo guy. But this is very nice. I find myself looking at Volvo's now.
The new Volvos are stunning
You make your reviews so good that when you said the yellow seat belts gave extra horse power, I nearly believed you.
The front reminds me of the Mazda 6. Volvos are good cars, very underrated.
Door sound squad where you at?
Of all the car reviews available in UA-cam, this guy does the best job.

Volvo has one of the best semi truck design
Very true

@Bartosz Piwowarczyk It's those large trucks you see on the freeway, with a huge box on the back.
That's a tractor that pulls trailer on highway. If you are in europe it's a lorrie
This S60 is so much larger than previous. Maybe I can fit in it now and definitely the wagon is their iconic signature
I respect Volvo for putting out these beautiful cars they still got it after all these years
This s60 in that beautiful red paint is a staggering nice car. Love the review
I'm watching premium cars reviews while I can't afford something more expensive than 2000$

1:22 "contirely" omg I'm going to need to start using that word, thank you Sofiyan.
Reliability of twincharged engine and cost to repair?
Serious question
Volvos are very reliable but when something breaks its bmw money to repair
Pretty good voiceover work. It’s almost as if he remembered what he said verbatim.
Elliott Manning I thought the same thing. He did a good job.
I have a 2003 s80 with 200k n it still runs smooth .....i will never own anything else but a volvo they just never break down
No door closing sound comment?? What's wrong

Volvo is a underated car, and they care about their customers!! 😍💕

They finally changed it since 2011. Way bigger and better than the previous generation.
even with audio issue it was a great review
Much better than any over rated German or even Asian brands
Am I the only one who skips right over the "music video" portion in the beginning?
i always do...
Jason Rudge I fast forward right to the actual test drive 😂
This music was pretty dang good though!
@Jason Rudge - the music selection on this one sounds like a cheesy gay night club from a video game 😆
Everytime. Because the music is terrible and doesn't seem to fit.

Back end of the S90 is more appealing than the S60 to me because the Polestar reflects the look of the 90
I love the sedan look of this car I think Volvo did a great job this time around
That audio cracks me up. I feel like I'm watching a Bruce Lee movie from 1980.
please review the base s60 tired of seeing the R design already
Mike Harris no one cares about base lmao
A Littlefin i know you think you're right but the base is the reason a lot of these cars still exist
I'll never understand the american love of unnecessary and obnoxiously loud engine noise. Subdued noise speaks more toward a sophisticated machine than anything else.
My ideal car would be a luxury-dripping leather trimmed ford fusion-looking sedan that is as quiet as a whisper.
Seriously. I don’t get this guy wanting more noise from the engine. I’d rather hear my music playing in this car.
I don't mind a nice hum but loud cars are extremely annoying, and it just seems childish when drivers zoom around with a car making all that noise.
Luxury-dripping Ford Fusion.......someone come get their mans😂😂😂
I don't want more noise, I want better noise. Audi makes their 2.0T sound decent, this one sounds like a tractor.
Amazing color for this beautiful Volvo, excellent video well done. Thank you for sharing 👍👍👍👏👏👏👌👌👌
the best car reviewer on youtube, cheers
Really love the styling direction of the current crop of Volvo's as well as their beautiful interiors. Excellent review as always Sofyan.🏎🏁
Excellent review! I am really excited, will see this car in person at the Los Angeles Auto Show this year.
I can't wait to own a V60 or V90 in the future! Especially the polestar v60
Got to love the rear door side air vents
Sofyan and his team are the best
Looking forward to when car manufacturers offer a REDLINE edition after you point out everything they need to change.

But is the glovebox damped and lined with felt?
Love the interior and overall redesign. I just can’t get over the tail lights.
That shirt is dope! Perfect review as always ;)
Beautiful! Currently my second favorite compact luxury sports sedan after the Lexus IS (I own a 2017 IS200t F-Sport).
Are you sure about those cargo space numbers?
Volvo website says "11.6 cu. ft." for cargo capacity for the S60.
Turbo + supercharger = lease 😃
pretty much
Seems like a great addition to the segment!

GOT DAM THIS CAR IS BEAUTIFUL
10:02...At 9 inches it could be a little bit larger.....Dude, you're a freak haha!!
Ed Jones right, that looks perfectly fine to me lol
Haha that’s due to the fact that you can select the larger 12.3 inches which I have on my new V60 and it really is better
he is talking about the center screen which the V60 has identical, not the virtual cluster which is 12.3 across the board (S60 and V60)
I think all of you missed the joke 🤦🏾♂️

I want a v60 soooo bad!!! Love it
I think Volvo said somewhere that they made the steering wheel assembly collapsible in case of accident so that's why they don't have power adjustment
Volvo make nice premium luxury cars
I got 2014 model of S60, love it! This seems to be a good upgrade from it.

jamaicanlovrboy the luxury brands are just moving to bigger screens every year. The norm we’re seeing is now 10” or more.
Not to mention a bigger vehicle can make the infotainment screen smaller.
They are only building 20 of the Polestar ???
I like it. This looks like it will age gracefully.
