I have an OP11R and it's top bezel is thinner than OP11. OnePlus is going crazy.
It looks like that because the siderails on 12 are of darker colour than 12R
Either OnePlus could have offered 10 or 12 Mega Pixel ultra wide lens instead of giving 2 Mega Pixel shit or they could have offered 8 or 10 Mega Pixel telephoto lens instead of ultra wide . 8 mp ultra wide and 2 mp shit is totally unacceptable in 2024 !

OnePlus said the merging with oppo will enable OnePlus users to get better camera performance yet Reno-series outclassed OnePlus in every department of camera performance....So my question is what's the whole point of merging???....Also I feel OnePlus should at least provide a pre-applied theme or launcher to differentiate the UI with its sister brands
That's literally why they reduced the cost. It's a flagship all round and the price to value ratio is fascinating compared to Samsung and Apple flagships. Sure those phones are better but they are way more expensive. Approximately 1000 $ more expensive than the OnePlus 12 R.
brands should give usb 3.2 gen speeds for higher ram&memory varients, it'll justify the pricing.
For someone who wasn't even considering the 12R, I now am... this comparison is proper, excellently done. My heart is longing for the 12 whilst the 12R is probing my mind. I upgrade every three years, and the 11 was my next scheduled upgrade; unfortunately, when the 11 released, it fell short and I still held onto my 7T PRO for another year. This is the year I finally replace my 7T PRO, which I have been using since April 2020: my time with it has been nothing but amazing… I ran (still run) the device hard 24/7.
OnePlus is once again exciting... their last best was the 7 Series.
From their naming moniker, the 12R is practical just the 12 and the 12 is the 12 PRO, right 🤣😂

@@ERENYEAGER-sw9ki Bro, I most definitely will. Personally, I think the 7 Series PRO is OnePlus' best smartphone they've ever built. It was ahead of its time when released in 2019. Having a full-on display with no camera cutouts nor notch made it look futuristic. I wish they kept the pop-up camera with the 'PRO' line for 8, 9 & 10 for the purpose of having more screen estate. The 7/7T PRO still looks amazingly good in the current market.

Still using my McLaren 7t pro 5g and I don't want to let it go. Had it since 2019 and still runs like a charm 16 gb ram was ahead of its time when it came out and still performs to this day
@@arieszona It's a month since I made the decision not to upgrade, to still continue using the 7T Pro for another year. The phone is a performer, even at 8GB RAM compared to your mobile beast variant at 16GB. I usually sell or giveaway my outgoing phone, but when it comes to replacing the 7T Pro, I'll keep it as a souvenir 😊

7t was a top tier device, still using it(5years now) only department it sucks now is it's battery, which is making me change it. The battery drains fast and takes hours to full charge.....
@@vitaminprotein573 m still using it since Dec 2019 on Android 10 battery performance is it ok for me on heavy usage it's still give me 6 hours of screen time charging speed it's good with 30 w charger in 45 minutes to complete charge .....will suggest you to change battery it will cost 1500 i guess....i haven't changed though

You missed a detail that the OP12 supports pixelworks which can make certain games run at 120fps. Not sure if this can be done on 12R.

I would recommend a comparison between one plus 11 and 12r. They are more similar except for cameras I guess. And with the updates situation for similar number of years, would OnePlus 11 be a better buy?
My Opinion.
-Connect debloater tool - buy a high spec android any brand - remove all ads .
- update phone - twice in a year/if you have bugs else dont update.
-buy phone for better display & battery , headphone jack if any / support for high-quality audio out - camera is mostly similar - use gcam , prefer phone having telephoto lens.
-buy a hardcase.
-charge phone when it reaches 30% till 95% - using 18w for better battery life.
-will easily last 3yr for 15-25k phone , 5yr for 35k+ phone.(don't know if you are a performance user ).
-Phone is a depriciating asset unless you are a content creater/ Rich dont buy phones above 40k.
9:15 gen 2 still better at efficiency it reminds me of Sd 865 while gen 3 being Sd 888 which suffers overheating 🤦♂️

but one plus 12 doesn't heat at least for me, the screen feels hot as heat dissipation form the vc happens there, but the battery temp never exceeds 38 degrees even while intensive long hours of gaming

@@arkimon3088 havent done a battery test, without gaming, last 2 days easily, If I spend like 4-5 hours a day gaming, lots of shorts, WhatsApp, calls, etc, then 12 hours easily

Hey ershad. I just wanted to know one thing. I recently bought a Pixel 7A expecting great flagship grade cameras. But I was really disappointed when I saw that it has too much of unnecessary grain and has serious focusing issues and lack of detail. Is this the trait of Pixel cameras in general? Comparing with the S23 ultra feels like comparing a midrange camera to a flagship one, which is something I didn't expect, given that Pixel is supposed to take some of the best shots possible.

If it was not for the curved screen I would get the OP 12R but for now I am set on getting the IQOO Neo 9 (non pro) which is still the cheapest SD 8 gen 2 phone, unless something else releases in March.
at 05:10 look at the bezels of 12 vs 12R. 12 bezels is bit thicker than 12R . i think 12R is better choice here in terms of everything.
The camera is bad other than the main camera . At 40k cannot they provide a 10mp wide angle at least. Give some old Sony sensors. The marketing guys are thinking people will go for 12 for a better camera, might not work.

If you want a flagship phone with flagship features you can pick Oneplus 12 because it has higher data transferring speeds , best performance (after updates) , 50W wireless charging and better cameras otherwise you can pick Oneplus 12R but I suggest you to buy Samsung S23 > Oneplus 12R
OnePlus 12 has a QHD display (2K), Aqua touch display, 50W fast wireless no phone has ever provided that, and has the best thermal protection while playing non stop gaming, be realistic in your video or educate yourself while giving reviews.

Preodered the 12 16/512. Have been using it for sometime now and absolutely love it. Couple of things that made me swing in favour of 12 over the 12R. The UW cam is fixed focus on 12R, 12 gets autofocus, proper telephoto lens and better camera hardware overall. Higher (512GB) storage option. Faster storage. I upgraded from 8T and that one had USB 3 Gen 1. I backup my phone regularly and so yes USB speeds matter a lot to me, going down to USB 2.0 speeds was a no no for me. Does it matter to a normal person? probably not. Does 12 justify the near 25k over the 12R? Probably not too. Like Ershad said, it comes ridiculously close to the 12 in terms of day to day usage and money saved is money earned right? I for one don't change phones frequently so the best Oneplus was the way to go. But yes, 12R does tempt you with its price.

@@rishabhsehgal_ Yes it did. Infact that is the only reason I upgraded. This is my third OnePlus, it started with 3T, then 8T and now the 12. They offered a 27k voucher for any OnePlus phone or 30k for Nord 3 5G. I took the 27k one, waited for 12's launch and found the hard way that it's not applicable for their latest phones. Bought a Nord, sold it and used that money for the 12. Looking back I should have gotten the Nord coupon instead, but buying the 11 and 11R just didn't make sense especially without any significant price drop. Not the ideal trade in but I don't regret it.
@@rishabhsehgal_ also OnePlus announced they were giving lifetime display warranty for green line issue. I read it in an article a few weeks ago. Not an official media release though.

It appears that inside the camera modules of both the phones are four cameras, but as per my knowledge, there're only three rear cameras in both the phones. Can anyone clarify what's going on there?
The 12r has the flash in the 4th punch whereas the 12 has the flash as well as the laser autofocus module in it.

I really feel the 2MP camera is 12R is a annoying deal breaker for most part. I don't see people opting for 128GB variant the 256 GB variant is at 45K and Iqoo 12 is at 50K~ the only compromise one has to make is software 😢 I donno brands are smart enough or they are deliberately playing with Buyers emotions here. Nothing phone 3 is yet to launch this year. If they manage to include a periscope camera and 8 gen 2 at the same price they launched phone 2 last year it's going to be bonkers I guess.

The video focuses on making one plus 12R to somehow look as good as 12 but seeing many different reviews from Foreign and Indian yt channels, with detailed comparison, 12 aces 12r with a large margin.
That's your lens , there is a massive price gap between two phones. No shit Sherlock the expensive phone is better . I have seen so many reviews of American youtubers who have praised 12r

Don't get me wrong 12r is an incredible phone for 39k but the one plus 12 is leagues ahead of it. Next time you watch a review of those youtubers pay more attention to camera segment, display and gaming performance instead of getting high halfway through.
@@bonafidagaming886 lmao bro is schooling me , the display is exactly the same apart from the resolution and size , 8 gen 2 throttled less compared to 8 gen 3 and the gaming performance increase is round about 30% , the biggest difference is in cameras . The primary is 11s lens which is good but the rest of them are ass. If they had given a good ultrawide and macro lens then people wouldn't buy 12. It's that close this year. You can still criticise 12r for the lenses but acting like apart from the cameras the phone isn't very very close to 12 is plain stupid . Next time go in depth before telling other people to stop watching videos 🤣 . You can check OnePlus marketing material for both the phones and both of them average 59 fps , 12 was like .5 fps more compared to 12r in genshin impact . The point is at a price of difference of 25K if you can be satisfied with the primary lens , 12r is the no brainer .

Even though the Cpu throttling is more in 12, you can see all the reviews where the performance doesn't drop a bit. The speakers and display resolution are better in 12. 12r is a beast in budget segment no doubt, but the 23K price difference is completely justified. Should I buy Oneplus 12R For 45000 or else buy an iphone? I do have a mac but I am not interested in base iphone models as they have low battery life and small display. I am interested in iphone 14 plus but it is out of my budget. My budget is 40k but i exceeded it to 45k.
