I have had some old iron in the past and still do. It’s not a truck, but is my first car that I bought. Hopefully one day I will get an old iron pickup to enjoy but I like my old iron car and tractor. They are fun to work on and drive. Look forward to seeing brother Rusty in one of your videos.
Chevy had duel headlights as well from 1958 thru 1961. My 1960 Chevy Apache pickup has duel headlights and it was one of the reasons I bought the truck over 20 years ago. I love duel headlight cars and trucks from this period. Something about that look!!
I wish Missouri would do away with Safety Inspection. It's a real pain to take a day off (or days off) to get vehicles safety inspected; then to go to the DMV/DOR and renew registration. I mean, even with the Safety Inspection requirement, there is still a lot of junk driving in Missouri! I was not expecting the headlights to turn off, when you used the turn signal. I did hear a rumor that Missouri is thinking of going to only 1 license plate (Rear), like so many other states.
I see you rewired the front parking lights to work when the headlights are on. Good idea, even though they originally only burned when the headlights were off and only the parking lamps were on.
BAYLON,(Tony?).. I am not sure if you understand how the "DUAL HEADLIGHTS" is supposed to work. As I understand how they work is; the two outside lights, 3 prongs in the back, work as high & low while the two inside lights, 2 prongs, work only on high. The dimmer switch when on "low beam" feeds power to the outside "low beam" circuit only. When you use the dimmer switch from low to high it CUTS the power from the "low beam" on the two outside lights while feeding power to all four lights. The system functions this way, turning off the "low beams", to keep the outside lights from overheating and burning out. Did you purchase the "low beam" lights with only two prongs in the back❓ Just a guess; is it possible that someone in the past has wired both circuits together, not knowing how they should work❓A simple multitester will tell you what you need to know !
Thank you for taking care of Jimmy. Waylon is happy as heck. He sent me over. New subscriber.
thank you for the sub more on Jimmy to come
