    I don't much care for ambient music or sounds but this man's knowledge and videos are always top notch.

    I can't believe I forgot about this channel but found it randomly in my recommendations. I also forgot how this was one of my favorite channels. You make great stuff. Keep it up! Miss you!

    Just bought an Eddie O' Brien Signature Sustainer Strat :D The sustainer pickup is such an amazing creative tool for ambient guitar. I would highly recommend this guitar to anyone out there that likes playing ambient guitar.

    Love your videos, Bill. I got my Plethora last week (I also have a flashback triple) and really appreciate your insights on both.

    Absolutely love my Plethora x3! So much potential for an affordable package. I use mine for Worship, and it's got everything I need for modulation and time-based effects.

    I'm really happy to have one of these. I like their bring your own drive concept too. I went out and got a Wampler/Tom Quayle Dual Fusion pedal to complement it, and I use the Ocean Machine with it too, since I can slow down/reverse the loops or add other layers using the FX of Ocean Machine..perhaps try running them in parallel or put the OM into the Plethora FX loop to see what happens. :-)

    Hey wanted to mention that I remember seeing a Long play that you did and you said you created it using the ocean machine would be cool to see how you did that cuz I think that's one of your coolest sounding pieces verydrone sounding but it evolves over the entire time

    I need to build out a Praise&Worship setup. Right now all I have is an OCD, BB Preamp and Trio looper. I need a really good Reverb and Delay. I don't want to get GAS syndrome; I want a simplistic setup. I was thinking the Helix, but wondering if the HX Stomp, HX Effects of Plethora X5 might be enough. What do you think?

    Hi Bill, thank you for the informative video. May I ask why you chose the values for the delay times, was it based on the original loop length? Thanks.

    I just hoping it'll be able to do parallel instead of series.

    Hi Bill, can you please tell me whether the FX loop on the Plethora is stereo? Reason for asking is I run an amp-less setup and I use a Headrush Gigboard for the amps and cabs/IRs. The issue is I don't like some of the modulation effects in the Headrush and I'd like to add the Plethora into the rig. As the Headrush GB effects loop isn't stereo, I wonder whether I could run the Headrush in the effects loop of the Plethora and treat it like an amp with some effects placed before and after the amp. I don't want to do that if I lose stereo effects. Hope all of that makes sense

    • @chordsoforion
      @chordsoforion  3 роки тому

      No, it is a mono FX loop.

    It's a great effects pedal. If it offered some distortion and overdrive, it would improve even further

    • @ChrisOSheaUK
      @ChrisOSheaUK 3 роки тому +1

      TC don’t do digital distortion or overdrive ... and so this was designed to just have the digital pedals in it, and to let you add other pedals before, after, or in the FX loop of the Plethora.
      So the Plethora does an analog to digital conversion at the input, runs through (up to) five digital effects and then converts back to analog at the output. To add in non digital pedals they’d have to keep switching back to analog and put the signal through a stereo pair of analog distortion stages and then reconvert ... which would really put the cost way up.
      Other companies have some great distortion digital models, so maybe TC could licence those for a future Plethora X5 Turbo Mega Deluxe :D
      I know people who combine this and the HX Stomp to provide nearly everything they want.
      It would indeed be great to have this in a bigger unit that does the other stuff too :)

  • @beatnikcafe
    @beatnikcafe 2 роки тому

    Can it do an 8 second delay?

    • @chordsoforion
      @chordsoforion  2 роки тому

      Close - 7 seconds

    • @beatnikcafe
      @beatnikcafe 2 роки тому

      @@chordsoforion too bad, I know they had a similar limit on the delay pedal, I'm sure you can guess why 8 seconds would be perfect, but just in case, it's perfect because it's easy to subdivide into 60bpm or 120bpm so makes doing the math on the other loopers and delays much easier. I use my Echosystem that way as a looper along side my Dittos and Infinity. It runs into the Infinity so I can dub one to the other and if I'm running clock into the Infinity it lines up perfectly. Even when not, I can get it pretty close, sometimes get lucky and it creates a cool phaser effect if I let it dub multiple times.

  • @spectre2575

    Why do you put the loop before the reverb rather than at the end of the chain?

    • @DumDumJunk
      @DumDumJunk 3 роки тому

      Because it will get muddy in no time.

    • @chordsoforion
      @chordsoforion  3 роки тому +5

      I generally prefer to keep the looper before reverbs and many times before delays. It all depends on what kind of texture you are looking for. With the reverb in particular, think the looped sound when combined with non-looped sounds is nicer when a single reverb follows to blend everything together.

  • @ericsoncarino6831

    hi bill can the delays be set on parallel?

    • @chordsoforion
      @chordsoforion  3 роки тому

      No - the effects chain is currently series only. There have been requests for parallel routing, so we'll see if they add that into the firmware.
