thank bro! great tutorial :) I had a problem not having a pitch band jog on my controller... so I mapped my ps4 controller (jog for pitch and l2 for gate) works pretty good :)
which bass from your preset you are using? would like to see how you do a whole bass processing, from synthesis, eq, compression and other processing agents you might use. thank you for your work and sharing im learning a great deal with you. thank you and keep on going
This bass is in "Mudra preset pack 2020" and is called "Mudra Bass 13" however there is some processing involved too. I Haven't made any Kick and bass videos yet because there is a lot of them out there and I'm not sure if theres much point in me adding to the list of KB videos
Nice tut mate! First time I have seen the trick with the LFO rate set to key freq to keep it always in key. That has opened up so many ideas on patches I have already made! Thanks mate, keep it up. Subbed ;)
just to be clear, I didn't do that here. but if you wanted to do that you could group the arp and serum together and use a macro to control to control both. Alternatively you could map the arp gate to the pitch bend wheel.
i’m not entirely sure what might be causing that. Perhaps try turning the render mode to x4 and check your amp envelopes for any very short attack or release. Also adding a bit of smooth to the pitch LFO may help, Good luck!
Definitely one of the best FM tutorials going around, I have subscribed and will keep checking your channel for more stuff. I checked out the rest of your vids but they all look to be very Ableton specific - would be great to see you do more stuff with Serum for us non-Ableton users...
I will try to make some more videos that aren't Ableton specific, however I'm afraid I will be making most of my content with Ableton. Thanks for the sub!!
@@MuteProduction it doesn't matter if your using a ableton for your tutorials, most people should be able to follow along in their chosen daw. What i meant was videos such as 'how to make THAT sound in Operator' will narrow the audience a little...
You create such a nice sound that I wonder why some other psytrance tutorial channels have more klicks on their videos who don't reach your sound quality. You deserve far more views and attention
Very nice! Sadly I couldn't get this lead on FL Studio, when you go to arpeggiator and record it, I didn't get the same effect, actually not even figured it out how to continue the tutorial after this bc FL works in a different way lol Is there any way to get this same lead effect in FL Studio with serum?
I am not sure but i have some friends who use FL and I'm sure they would be happy to help. We have a discord server devoted to psytrance production, I'm sure we can answer you questions there. Email me at adampetershephard@gmail.com off you are interested!
You can do this in FL quite easily - the arpeggiator in FL is built into the plug-in wrapper (top left corner) not as a separate plug-in like Ableton. The difference is that the timing and gate knobs have different values in FL and it took a couple minutes of experimenting to get a similar sound to the tutorial. It can be done so don't give up!
if you like this then check out this one ua-cam.com/video/e_B8Ef9nyVY/v-deo.html it’s the same thing just much easier to use as it adds pitch tracking.
you just made the best fm lead tutorial I've seen, please keep going with the tutorials, great job!
thanks bro!!
Yay You're back! great stuff as always!

Ouff! GREAT video tutorial!
Wow ! Amazing !! Thanks so much!! Bravo !!! 😍
good tutorial! but is there a alternative for the arp vst? im working with fl studio so i dont have the stock arp of ableton live

Top notch stuff, mate.!

DAMNN that sounds crazy
Much appreciated!
very good bro!! help me please! how do i connect the arpegiator gate with the serum pitch band???
🙏🏽
just to be clear, I didn't do that here. but if you wanted to do that you could group the arp and serum together and use a macro to control to control both. Alternatively you could map the arp gate to the pitch bend wheel.
Awesome tut man!
Unsure why i keep getting unwanted "pops" tho. Would you have an idea on why/how to counter that?
Cheers!
i’m not entirely sure what might be causing that. Perhaps try turning the render mode to x4 and check your amp envelopes for any very short attack or release. Also adding a bit of smooth to the pitch LFO may help, Good luck!
@@MuteProduction i tried both, but sadly neither did it. Thanks for your reply tho! I'll keep investigating, cheers!
@@psynthist 🤔 hmm sorry to hear that. I hope you find a solution!
sick way of doing the FM bro!
most helpful tutorial for me. thx 4 sharing mane
happy to help bro!
But why can't you just automate instead of tweaking while recording. I am pretty sure all those parameters are automatable
it’s more fun
Brother this is an amazing method 👏 much respect 🙌
thanks for watching! glad you like it!

No there are no free packs for subscribers. There are demos though and some free kicks on muteproduction.gumroad.com
Hey ! When i hit record midi note start dissapearing and no sound :( what i am doing wrong
you need to click the little + sign near the top of the timeline by the transport buttons (play, stop, record)
@@MuteProduction Thank You !
This is the most helpful tutorial I d found yet
awsome video bro, just one question, did you record pitch bend and Arpeggiator Gate at the same time? with the mouse or a controller? tnx!!
that right i used a controller for the pitch bend and my mouse for the gate :)
You create such a nice sound that I wonder why some other psytrance tutorial channels have more klicks on their videos who don't reach your sound quality. You deserve far more views and attention
Anton can to do this on a minilogue korg without serum? I use granular delay fx on my boss looper to do psyc
