If we can draft a starting L.T. Tyler stays at G where he should stay. Drafting Tyler was very smart as far as options but he needs to stay at G. Keep the middle of the pocket clean for Dak to move or step up. We get a big nasty at C this yr. Let Richards push Steele. Bass and Hoffman create strong competition at C/G. It would be nice to get our starting L.T. and or C and R.B. out of this draft. That will really help the offense.

The Cowboys don’t send money on position coaches and this is a good part of why we can’t do more with less. We do a great jobs of getting talent that is off the radar, but most of that talent needs to be coached up and this is where we fail. There is no “Cap” on coaches salaries and as a organization they can put resources to scouting the country for coaches that are good at developing good player at the position they coach
It’s simple, those other teams have better coaches and they can get more out of their players. The Jones’s don’t like good coaches.
9:38 you don't do that because that's how you have Chaz Green vs ATL or Steele vs PHI games more often. There are way more talented edge guys than interior guys, that's why tackles make more and you need better tackles than guards.

I hope so ... The very small amount of playing time that the backup O-Line has gotten has not been encouraging. "Chuma" is your best option when Tyron got injured? Really?... I"m not sold on that ... Bass and Richards need to be fast tracked the way Tyler was. Bass was a starter at both Tackle and Guard in College- has made very few mistakes for a rookie/like Tyler.. Richards was 2nd team All ACC. I'd want Richards to be able to fill in on Left or Right side.. and Bass to work both Guard and Tackle for maximum flexibility.
What about Jones the Texas tackle? Maybe mot a starter as a rookie, but he looked hood at Sr. Bowl?

I'm positive when Dak looked left and saw Edoga and looked right and saw Steele he knew he had a little over a second to throw or hoped it was a run play. In all honesty Steele got paid for run blocking not pass pro. Hopefully it was health and a different O.L. coach and he can get back to dominant run blocking and atleast avg or above avg pass pro.
They're not trading up, they're more likely staying put or trading back and getting an extra pick.

You have to fill 10 Roster slots.. 11 if Gilly leaves.. and you've only got 7 draft rounds. Most of the time starters come from Rounds 1-4 ... This is not the year to be high maintenence about "Imma gonnna stay at guard". Cowboys are in a personel/hole.. Compromises are 100% on the table. If you picked up 5 starters/per/year from the Draft.. which would be alot... You're looking at 2 full years you're trying to squeeze into 1/this year. HORRIBLE personel situation ..thanks to contract lightweight Jerrrr-ah Jones.

@@jokerworld9707yes you could, but Richards/Ball/Waletzko are not starters and we have so many massive holes on the roster that it would be tough grabbing a C and LT. Bass is ready at LG, let Tyler play LT.
