Napoleon virtually a "god of war". He is in avance of centuries. He's tactics are still taught today. Incroyable!

The Imperial Guards were the most trained and feared troops of Europe. All its soldier were 6 ft tall and battle hardened veteran. From this observation, many of us think Napoleon was short. Actually he was 5 ft 6 inch more than average the height of Frenchmen. As Napoleon was always surrounded by 6 ft tall Imperial Guard he appeared short in front of them.

Napoleon is often regarded as the greatest military commander in history. His downfall is a sad story you will see. Great video Lobsters. There were some audio issues though just a heads up. Cheers.

Yes sorry about the audio issues. We are setting the studio up for the first time in a new place. I'm also not happy with our microphone. We will be looking to upgrade the audio equipment soon. Thank you

The blame for this total defeat lies with Alexander I. He did not listen to the advice of the experienced Kutuzov, who opposed giving Napoleon a battle and insisted on continuing the retreat (which would have been disastrous for Napoleon and would have ended his career nine years earlier). But at least Alexander I learned his bitter lesson and rarely took part in battles later. And Napoleon and Kutuzov would meet again on the battlefield soon. Continue this series)

Actually at Austerlitz , Napoleon pretended that he was in weak position. First he gave High Ground to his enemies, Second he retreated backward and also wrote fake letters regarding retreating from battle. It was actually a military bluff to disguise his enemies that he is retreating so that they could target him overconfidentally

Napoleon actually used the Corp System from Romans. He copied Corp System from Romans but modernised it and hence called as Founder of Corp System. But it was based on the principles of Legion of Romans

As Napoleon himself remarked about opponents in 1813 'these dogs have learned something!'

His downfall with Russia was by overestimating the weather, how vast the land is, and Russian's temperament (they're stubborn as hell). Winning Moscow might not have been enough for Hitler and it definitely wasn't enough for Napoleon. Even with today's technology, it'd be hard to march into Russia (especially if time it wrong and get stuck in their winter season) - much less back then when wagons were supply line and horses were your transport.

Aujourd'hui, nous savons que le gros de l'armée était touché par le typhus à cause des poux que l'on trouve en Pologne et Russie.
