To be fair, performances like these follow a very awkward format of talk about song-->play song-->talk about next song and so on. Along with that it's hard for an artist to express the meaning behind their music through back and forth conversation. Like for The Monster, it's hard to say "Yeah, so this song is about marginalizing people around me because of my own insecurities and fear of hurting those closest to me." Ya know?

I flip back to FIL often, especially their old albums. Really a comfort band! They’re touring in 2024 ❤ beautiful music still!
