It is so pleasing to watch Tom enjoy a well made drink and a good cigar. He seems to be getting all that life has to give, one moment at a time! I also love the way you two converse. There is obvious chemistry between father and son!
Life is very short; Tom knows how to enjoy some of its finer vices. I knew an old polish fellow ( he fought in WW2) who drank a few shots of whiskey everyday…and he lived till 96! I truly believe there is something in the booze that, if drunken in moderation, kills cancers and other common diseases older people die from.
The gentleman who liberated that dress coat must have been very proud of his war trophy and he wanted generation to come to know who liberated it (so he wrote his name and address in it. Someone should look up that guy! That’s the beauty of collecting as these German Officers Medical Corp. tunics were made to the highest standards. That was a very expensive piece when first produced…you guy’s have something special there; you seldomly see them, especially in such choice condition…I love it, should be in a museum collection.
Yes - it is time again to enjoy a relaxing tumbler of "Old Barn Owl" bourbon - when I do purchase I always ask for a small discount to purchase a bottle of drink!
As much I despise the Australian government attempting to turn a blind eye to the atrocities of the ETO..., the Japanese they fought against were just as bad. I will however commend their stance on youth and social media. The internet is a great thing, but young people are easily manipulated. The "Tide Pod" challenge wouldn't have been a thing without the internet.

Another great video Tom. Merry Christmas to all. Frohe Weihnachten
Nice to see your father enjoying a good cigar. It’s an experience all you non-smokers will never understand….cheers!
