what is the problem of my windows update, after i update the latest windows update on my pc which is have a new logo of the Microsoft edge the issues is showing up, sometimes i notice that may windows security in task bar are gone and when i open it to the settings nothing to show. and also i saw on the windows update is not responding because of the issue of 0x80070057, all i can do is to restore my pc again, and after 2 days the issues is showing up again no windows security in taskbar and an error code 0x80070057 showing up in the windows update when i checked the updates. pls help what i need to do if reinstall windows os or reformat my os
Mine is window 7 trying to upgrade it to window 10 and it said 0x80070057 and when I try this their was a problem starting setup close the tool restart your PC and try running the tool again.
After restarting, It works only for the first time. I mean it shows the error issue like "missing codec 0x80070057" when I open a software for 2nd time.
my issue is: "new" as in fresh out of the package, new. not to mention, format->error, install windows 10->error.....I don't recall having this problem last time I loaded windows to a new drive.

yup i've done w reset windows but error code showing up in several days so i thnk i need to reisntall windows / format C:

@@michaelsentones8783 just backup ur data in C drive, like Document, Music, Video, Download, then u just need t reset windows. So ur data wont lose

The error suggests a directX 11 runtime error. Try installing/reinstalling directX 11
