- The Pro Scouts came to town to gear up for free agency and Rob DiMaio got right down to business for his first meetings as the Senators Director of Professional Scouting and Player Development.

Rob was such a good hire, excited to have him on our scouting staff
The Ottawa Senators need to be smart and creative for the off-season trades, saying that Sean Walker Rd Def. or Matt Dumba might be a nice add to the team at the right price. I would consider Martin Jones as a good backup Goalie at a cheap price.- $950,000. Warren Foegele would be a solid winger at a cheap price. And last maybe Mattias Janmark at the right price. Good luck Ottawa in the season -save cap space.
DiMaio def doesnt pick Tyler Boucher at #10. Shouldve went at around where Pinto did.

These are the pro scouts, not the amateur ones. So the ones that are more involved in trades and free agency.
These guys gonna be WAY busier than the amateur scouts. Gonna need to works some miracles to come up with the 3-5 new NHL Dmen they need to fix that blueline. Not to mention goaltending and fixing the forwards. Team is not close.
I disagree I thing they are closer then you might think, yes they need to improve their D toughness but the #1 thing is they need to have better goaltending, last year every game that their goalies had 900 save percentage ad over they won the problem is that it didn't happened enough
@spartuz71 having D.J Smith like a quarter to halfway through the season last year didn't help either. Capuano was terrible too and he's gone. I say the Sens should trade Chychrun for a good quality goalie like Ullmark and find a way to trade Korpi or buy out his contract which will cost money, but mistakes cost money for success in the future which is all that matters. We should also find a way to aquire a good quality defenseman because I don't know if guys like Kleven, JBD, and any of the dman in Belleville are ready yet. JBD has been for years now but he's just a flat out bust if he can't get his shit together.

Staios takes too long to make decisions. He is going to lose out on players because he takes too long. Can’t even get the Pinto deal done. He should have hired a GM with more experience. I don’t think much gets done this summer. He will be full of excuses. That’s my feeling on this.
Shut up lol. Nothing wrong with taking your time to ensure you make the right decisions. Dorion should've left you happy we have a GM who will think things thru before making rash decisions. We have lots of time to get Pinto signed, and Staios will get it done. God damn Dorion signed Tarasenko and left no cap space to even sign Pinto.
