I felt so bad for Jack he was really going through it was him thinking he a bad person and he what 9ish months. He so naive and it was so sad when he thought he was bonding with lucifer but he was just manipulating him.😢

I'm not going to comment on that terrible aerial battle, but I was glad to see Dean (and Michael) kill Lucifer, very satisfying. My problem is, Jack and Sam, two ordinary humans were standing within five feet of that battle, and they survived. Makes you wonder why Dean refused Michael back in season 5. Their whole argument was that if Michael and Lucifer fought they would take out half the world's population. When Michael wears his 'sword' he was obviously way more powerful, so Lucifer would have gone down easily, and 'our' Michael didn't seem to want to stick around in Dean like this one does.

They should've intercut that fight scene (if you can call it that) with stock footage of earthquakes, hurricanes, typhoons, and buildings collapsing around the world. I'm still 😡🙄🤨 after six years.

My guess would be because he’s a Michael from a different universe? Either that or their loophole is because Lucifer wasn’t controlling Sam which was how it was supposed to go no?

@@arrowprincess12 But the thing is that at any time from episode 1 up until episode 22 Dean could have said yes to Michael and fought with Lucifer who was wearing Nick. It makes all the trials and tribulations of Team Free Will in season 5 redundant.

@@mystmagyk3101 I think the show didn't had the money to create the mass destruction while the Michael/dean and Lucifer fight scene

@@angelaholmes8888 Yeah, I'm aware, but if they'd just had some shaking, and mention of a local eathquake, maybe some other natural disasters that happened at that moment. Like they did when Kevin became a prophet, talking about how all the lights went out for a couple of states and all full term pregnancies giving birth. Anything to hint that killing Lucifer had HUGE consequences.

I think Mark & Jensen too hate the aeriel battle. It looked good on paper and in spite of their doubts they were promised it'd look great. It wasn't and they hate it.
I think they thought they were doing the Smith & Neo aerial battle like the third Matrix film or something.
I think it'd be one of the scenes they would do differently if they could go back and realise how bad it would look.
Well, at least Lucifer is dead. See ya, Mark!

One thing that always bothered me about the fight Michael vs Lucifer is that in s4 and s5 it was a really big thing, if they were to fight, there was gonna be a lot of destruction, natural desasters, a lot of death, the apocalypse, literally, and that was one of the reasons why they were so against to say yes; but then in this season, like you say, they introduced Michael with his sword, it is the first time we see him as his strongest, with his true vessel, and it was good to see Dean showing off Michael's wings, but it wasn't intimidating enough imo, and then the fight: not words. Very comical,I think they had in mind a really good fight but the execution wasn't how they picture it. And the worst part for me, all the consequences about letting this confrontation happen, all the destruction we saw in the 2014-endverse, all that was forgotten, Lucifer just dies and nothing else (apart for Michael taking control of Dean). Not gonna lie, this disappointed me a lot and I just couldn't watch the next seasons for a long time, but I finally did it when the series ended and we had thec complete series on prime (not from the US), to see how it ends.
I was suprised when I rewatched the show and this didn't bothered me as the first time, I was so much invested in the show back then I think

Dean killing Lucifer pissed me off so much! Lucifer was Sam's nemesis! It was their rivalry the show/season was building up to and they just wasted it! And the excuse to finally have Lucifer fight Michael was also lame, because first this isn't even the same Michael and second based on what was shown in the series Lucifer and Sam still had more of a rivalry than the Archangel brothers, who previously only had like three episodes together. Also it doesn't feel satisfying because Dean & Lucifer didn't have a personal history or rivalry or growing animosity, heck Castiel or Jack would've made more sense! Dean's personal issues with the devil were second hand based on what he did to the people Dean loved, to Sam, Cas, Mary, Jack and being partially responsible for Jo & Ellen's death, but that all pails in comparison to what Lucifer and Sam had been through!
Also Dean didn't need the kill he already has the most kills with reoccurring villains as well as the most rivals. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but last I checked for Dean there was Azrael, Ruby, Zacharia, Eve, Dick Roman, Abaddon, Cain, Styles, OG Death and now Lucifer
For Sam there was Jake Tally, Gordon Walker, Alister, Lilith, Samuel Cambell, and Alpha Vampire keep in mind there is a six season gap between those last two kills and I might be wrong on the list but what I know I'm not wrong about is the fact that Dean has more rivals or more of history with the antagonist on this show. Now rather than list both sides I'll just do Sam's, pre Lucifer Sam had OG Meg, Jake Tally, Gordon Walker, but after season 5 can you think of any reoccurring bad guy who's had a great deal of hate for Sam and vice versa, that was greater than or equal to Dean's. Dean is the one with more of a desire to kill them and has more interactions with them and while he doesn't always kill them their rivalry is clear. Heck since season 5 Castiel has been getting rivals not Sam, the actual main character. Raphael, Naomi, Metatron (originally). The last attempt to give Sam a nemesis was with Gadreel, after possessing him it seemed clear they would hate each other and if Sam killed him it would be satisfying. But the writers sorta gave him to Dean, the two had more scenes together, with Sam only facing him directly for three episodes and it was clear Dean hated Gadreel with a passion and it was kinda undone with him and Sam when Sam agreed to work with him in the season finale, granted they didn't have many scenes together but all the previous tension and angst seem to have vanished, and they did it again last season with BMOL Toni. Instead of giving Sam someone new they just brought back Lucifer and focused on these two and yeah that could've worked but all that build up feels wasted when you have Dean be the one to ultimately kill him, and even if they were to bring him back it wouldn't change that fact, I am just so mad at how they robbed Sam of this golden well deserved moment! Keep in mind this whole rant is coming from a Dean fan, Sam isn't even my favorite brother but I'm still mad at how the writers did him dirty

agree 100% with this, it’s pretty obvious the writers favor dean as the second half and the later seasons of the show they give him the most plot/storylines and relationships with other characters it very much pisses me off.
