Taarija is something else , it exists just in Morocco , and a one similar to it in Iraq , but these beats was with the Arabic darbuka that is popular in the middle East and North Africa , and with a touch of her Moroccan lalas
Her studio didn't wanna produce this song. She did it all herself because her fans really wanted her to release it. She wrote it, arranged it, made the melodies, mixed them, layered them, produced it, and released it. It hit so big with her fans it actually ended up an official songs from how big it hit with fans.
For me she is one of THE Voices right now. She has such a unique very remarkable sound in her voice because of the agility, and this oriental touch. No other pop singer can do this like her.
DJ.... I lovvvvve when you react to Faouzia! Love everything you had to say here.. except that I didn't find the drum beat distracting. I found it added to the exotic Moroccan vibes she loved to sew into her instrumentals and vocals!!!! I am a very proud Canadian.. and I love our girl.. and I love how she keeps her heritage prominent in her music. Even though I have no middle eastern background myself... I find Faouzia and her music is just truly so unique, captivating and beautiful. You are right.. she is beyond such an incredible role model for young women.. other artists.. male or female.. young or older. She's truly a class act!!!
Perhaps distracting is an incorrect term. I feel as though the mixing level of the drums is what was distracting to me. I get that way often.... it’s made it difficult to appreciate some of the more classic recordings.
@@TempleMusicAcademy I can't imagine ... with all your music knowledge, training and experience.. it truly must colour the way you hear music! lol .. and here I am blissfully unaware.. and just loving what I am hearing. Thank you for keeping us all entertained and educating us all along the way!!
I've been watching you reacting to Faouzia for over a year now, and I just love how you look at her PROUDLY. So do we. You're amazing too 👌🏻 thank you for this!
Another amazing female role model is Loreena McKennitt she built her own label Quinlan Road and her songs will transport you to another place. Some of my favorite songs from her are The Old Ways, Caravanserai.
I love this song. It's so sad and raw. I agree with you about the mic clipping--I actually thought it was intentional, but maybe not! :) I love the percussion, and wish the guitar weren't so prominent. I'd love to know what that drum is called. I read the name somewhere on a UA-cam comment to another video, looked it up, and the sound of the drum matched perfectly with this song. I love Faouzia!!! I love her so much. She's so authentic and incredibly gifted and talented.
I would love to see your reaction to Billy Boyd! Both with "The last goodbye" and "Edge of Night"! I grew up with Lotr and those songs do get me quite emotional so I'd love to see what you think!
I don't know why, but I think you might appreciate Ashley Monroe - check out her live performance of Orphan. She's a singer-songwriter with a classic country flair and my favourite voice in the whole world (she's also part of The Pistol Annies with Miranda Lambert, so you know she's legit).
AS ALWAYS.....NICE REACTION....FROM CANADA....THANKS...WE WOULD LIKE IF U MAKE A VIDEO REACTION OF THE CANADIAN DANCER IN BOLLYWOOD NORA FATEHI...GARMI SONG AND SAKI SAKI...THANKS...
Hey DJ I know it's been a while since you've done this, but please react to Faouzia's new single 'Hero'. It's so amazing!! And on top of that...! *_*She just recently got signed to Atlantic Records!!!!*_* I know most of her songs have a bit of a dark-ish theme to them, but this song is very upbeat and poppy, and I definitely suggest you check it out soon... Trust me you won't regret it, one bit.
ACTUALLY THE LALALA THING HOLD SOME ARABE VIBES AND RYTHM CUZ FIRST OF ALL SHE'S MOROCCAN AND SHE LOVES TO BRING ARAB VIBES INTO HER SONGS🖤 LOVE UR REACTION
She has a beautiful voice, but this genre of music is not to my taste, thanks for pointing out the technique to me DJ, I feel my music awareness swelling. I feel like I should be paying tuition!
In this song , she wrote it herself , she aranged it herself , she produced it herslef , and mixed it herself
Wrote it while on the bathroom floor lol
She writes all her songs
@@Justarttingz i know , but she gets some help with songwriters in her songs , but this one and elon and bad dreams , she wrote it hundo-pee alone
While studing for a math exam!!
And the drums she used is an arabic instrument called darbuka or "taarija" in morroco
Thank you. I wondered if it was a timpani drum but I did not know of this kind.
Oh wow.. I thought they were just bongos.. thank you for sharing this with us all. :)
