I have a good chunk of these, including Flash and the Pan. In fact, I have all of their records, and I do find them enjoyable. But, I don't have any England Dan, etc. or Al Jarreau records!
I'm looking forward to giving Flash & The Pan a listen. I only know Het St. Peter but if the rest of the album is like that, I'm sure it will be a great listen.
Cool footage of the Antique mall! Thanks for sharing your adventure with us. Congrats on finding that pair of XTC albums and completing your collection! Used to have the Waxworks on cassette. They are such a great band. Dave Edmunds version of Girls Talk is my favorite. Transvision Vamp is great too. You have great taste Todd!
When I was young I hate England Dan and John Ford Coley, they were all over the radio when I was in high school and just couldn’t stand them. By the 00s I had finally found that I now liked them and they brought back a lot of memories. Antique stores by me charge way too much, crazy prices. I now filled so primitive as I do my videos off of my phone and edit off of it. Need to have my kids show me how to be more tech savvy!
Hey Steve! Thanks for watching! Always means a lot. I get why you hated England Dan & John Ford Coley. They were for sure over played back in their heyday. I too appreciated them much more later on in life. Antique stores do charge way too much for sure. I saw some records I would love to own but wasn't going to pay the prices they wanted when I can get it on Discogs or my local record store for much cheaper. I've always wondered how they came up with their prices. I just go lucky (or maybe I'm too picky lol) at antique malls, but I prefer my local record shop for sure.
The XTC comps seem great. I also like "Senses Working Overtime ". 1,2,3,4,5! Flipping through the bins: I saw John Denver, Seasons of the Heart (good album) and The Hooters. My favorite song on Seven and the Ragged Tiger is New Moon On Monday.
Thanks so much Catherine! I have that John Denver album. I agree great album. Have that Hooters album although I like Nervous Night a bit better. New Moon on Monday! my fave off that album for sure!
Re: The Tubes, both of the songs that you mentioned featured guitar solos by one of my favorite guitarists, Steve Lukather from Toto. Also, She's A Beauty has harmony vocals by Bobby Kimball, formerly from Toto also.
Wow Transvision Vamp
Love those 2 XTC comps. Need to find some copies myself. Great stuff, Todd!
Thanks so much my friend! Yeah I totally forgot about those too when I was rebuilding my XTC collection. Good Albums.

Love Steve Lukather. Have you watched the yacht rock documentary? He's Hilarious on it. Much respect for him. What an incredible guitarist.
