Shin's got balls. He puts together several fairly difficult slight of hand tricks, one right after another, any one of them could go wrong and screw up his performance. But he fearlessly jumps in head first and somehow manages to pull them all off in the end. Great performer.

Plus you’re a great magician yourself so seeing you appreciate the art of magic is so cool. And you put it so well, he got everyone on this act, no way to figure it out on first or even third watch. This really hits the point from Penn on Fool Us about how he caught a couple of Shim's moves and about how if you catch one thing that feels phony the whole thing falls apart but said Shim's performance was perfect despite the fact he caught a couple moves anyways.

The video age is exactly the reason why I deliberately don't want to know how magic is done.

And Shim said he wouldn't show off his best for that first performance. Does it mean it's somewhat a piece of cake for him ?

Head Minerve his Penn & Teller first performance was definitely better. Here he was more on entertaining because he did not have two sets of eyes scrutinising his every moment.

Yep, as good as that was, believe it or not he is holding back…. As a card magician myself, I consider him to be about the best there is out there at the moment, as skilled as any of the Spanish sleight of hand masters, but with the added beauty of his presentation… He's special…. bring on the next heat!!

If only he learned that routine when he was on Penn & Teller. They probably know a lot of what he's doing, but just to see their reactions and hear what they have to say would be very interesting.

very good point about video today people being able to disect it...as a commoner (not a magician) I dont even try to figure these out...I prefer just watching in amazement...however, I want to start practicing magic and will probably figure a few things out without trying...I like how you just reacted but never gave away how he did anything
