and so far it the way to go don't baby them you'll just damage them and also who got time for this, we had earphone for decade been wiping them DRY with our shirts
Popping in to say that it really worked. The transparency hasn’t been working that well in for a long time now. But even then, anyone who tries this must use caution as liquids are still liquids and electronics normally do not mix with it. Follow the guide as strictly as possible.
Damn, I just looked up how to clean them because, after a while, due to dirt, the noise-cancelling and transparency mode aren’t as good anymore. Then I saw this video by the official Apple Support Channel - life is good.
I was able to change/take off mine 😃 I just hold the earpods and with the other hand I pulled the earbuds from the base BUT NOT where is the circle ⭕️ between the earpods and the earbuds. Don’t push the earbuds, the secret is “to pull them out” while holding hard and straight the EarPods
Micellar water is a cleansing liquid containing tiny oil molecules (micelles) that attract dirt, and distilled water is water that has been purified through boiling and condensation.
The Airpods Pro 2 are my favorite apple device lol. When they were released it was like someone read my mind. I was using a case on my Airpods Pro 1 that also had an airtag attached to it and I thought it would be so great if the airpods just had FindMy in them AND a way to attach a string or something so you can just grab them or hold them with one finger if you need to… and that is exactly what came out. I was shocked.
i use isopropyl alcohol with cotton buds and microfibre towel to clean my AirPods Pro 1 and iPhone. no water. they dry in a couple minutes and they still look brand new.
So this is the official way of cleaning the AirPods! That's interesting that even moisture is involved because I just dry clean them with a micro-fibre cloth or a dry soft brush.
For those asking ‘what’ water… it’s micellar water. People use it to remove make-up. Please look for the ingredients they’ve mentioned in the video, at the back of the pack of whichever brand you buy (it is branded and comes with stickers on how to use, etc. like any other product). And I think by distilled water here they mean any water that you think is potable and is free of any impurities or extra added minerals. You don’t have to do any science experiments to get your own distilled water tbh. Hope this helps.
This was helpful, because I think too too made me buy that all in one cleaning tools. I did all the steps except let them sit out and dry for 2 hours. My left AirPod pro ain’t never been right since. 😅
It's amazing how such a question can even arise when it's obvious that the same design is in Pro models, and if it couldn't be, it would be separately specified.
This was actually an extremely useful video, please do more like this
the first time an apple support video has felt like a kids science experiment video
❤❤❤
I love that ❤❤
*Next video idea: how to clean the AirPods case in a similar manner!*
the main thing we need
Yes!
Especially the area near the hinge!

How can I buy the Apple toothbrush?
😂 will only cost you 29 bugs instead of 90 ct because there’ll be an Apple Logo on it.
Can I use the Apple Toothbrush also for AirPods Pro 1. Gen or is it not supported? 😂
I need the iBrush
wipe your Pods down after every other use on an inconspicuous area of your shirt, creating that habit has saved me lots of cleaning sessions
Exactly what i do!
This. Ahaha
Lol I thought that it was just me that did this lol😂
I've been intuitively doing this every day since I bought it.
and so far it the way to go don't baby them you'll just damage them and also who got time for this, we had earphone for decade been wiping them DRY with our shirts

I wonder if this will restore my broken ANC and passthrough…
Video idea: how to fix audio crackling when transparency or noise cancelling are engaged.
This happened to me once and Apple swapped the problematic AirPod for free. Happened again and then it was time to get a new one.
Does this also apply to AirPods Pro’s 1?
This should be a free service at all apple stores
Micellar water is what?
usually used for makeup removal.
This is actually amazing content, thank you so much Apple please do more stuff like this
how to solve static sound from airpods pro?
Damn, I just looked up how to clean them because, after a while, due to dirt, the noise-cancelling and transparency mode aren’t as good anymore. Then I saw this video by the official Apple Support Channel - life is good.

I was able to change/take off mine 😃 I just hold the earpods and with the other hand I pulled the earbuds from the base BUT NOT where is the circle ⭕️ between the earpods and the earbuds. Don’t push the earbuds, the secret is “to pull them out” while holding hard and straight the EarPods
Every video on this channel should be on the Apple Tips app
whats a micellar and distilled water 😭
Micellar water is a cleansing liquid containing tiny oil molecules (micelles) that attract dirt, and distilled water is water that has been purified through boiling and condensation.
I want to know as well
I thought micellar was same as a toner but no :(

Very useful! Thanks
This is actually easier than I thought. But waiting 2 hours is the hardest part 😂
Wow, the results are really amazing
Will this work on AirPods Pro 1st gen?
I did this to clean the all of the speakers of my iphone xs max and now they work perfectly!
This thing definitely needs to be cleaned. I have both first gen and second gen failed, making annoying noise, due to ANC microphone blocked by dirt.
My ANC IS not working how to fixed
What is ‘marcella’ water?
It's called micellar water. It's used for removing make up
😂
i use isopropyl alcohol with cotton buds and microfibre towel to clean my AirPods Pro 1 and iPhone. no water. they dry in a couple minutes and they still look brand new.
So this is the official way of cleaning the AirPods! That's interesting that even moisture is involved because I just dry clean them with a micro-fibre cloth or a dry soft brush.
Make a tutorial video for Battery replacement
I also do have micellar water and distilled water lying around
I would also like to know how to clean the container.
How about with out micellar
Thank you! This is very helpful.
How about cleaning the case?
Why does Apple turn off the comments on some of their videos but not all of them like this one? This was a very helpful video.
Is it for AirPods Pro also?
I left them in my pocket and put that in a washer dryer.. they worked perfectly fine😄😄
How do you clean the charging case???
Please make one on how to clean the MacBook screen

I’ve ground out some cells from mice and put them in water but it looks different.
Cool that you made this video! 😄

Can you do a AirPods Max version next?
Is this compatible with the AirPods 4?
May I use isopropyl alcohol?
Would there be a video explaining how to clean the iPhone speakers?
Why after update I lost my ANC and my AirPods make static crackle noise
I have the belkin cleaning kit and it worries me putting water into contact with electronics 😭
Please post link to iBrush and will there be an iBrush Pro?
This was helpful, because I think too too made me buy that all in one cleaning tools. I did all the steps except let them sit out and dry for 2 hours. My left AirPod pro ain’t never been right since. 😅

Blue tac is all you need.
Instructions unclear. My cellar water damaged the AirPods. I can only listen to underground rap music now.
Finally. This will come useful.
Make a video on how to clean iPhone speakers and also microphone pls
Looks like a good idea, but I can’t wait the two hours for them to dry. These are game changers.

0:03 *just curious, is this process applicable for the original AirPods Pro (2019) as well - as they’re literally identical?!*
Probably since they’re both splash resistant
It's amazing how such a question can even arise when it's obvious that the same design is in Pro models, and if it couldn't be, it would be separately specified.
No, there is another video for the 1st Pros coming out tomorrow
You're supposed to clean them ?
If my AirPods Pro 2's get damaged, under warranty, by this video, will Apple cover it?
works for 1st gen?
How about designing something that doesn’t require cleaning?
i normally use a tool which i brought online very cheap price for and clean the buds and the case every months or so.
How about the home pod?
Now clean the case!
if you sand the airpods you get a matte texture
