“You look like you wanna tell me something, but just can’t for some reason.” 😢 One of my favorite episodes of the season. Both hilarious (the jinx testimony, the whole drug testing ridiculousness, small moments like “Mine was green..” or “Are you guys hiring?”) and rather touching (the Jim and Pam moments and the Dwight/Michael ending). I wish the discussion was longer on this one, only because I love hearing you guys just shoot the shit around the office and talk about everything in the ep. But, as usual, great job Normies! Love this reaction crew and series so much. PS. I’m glad you guys are appreciating how well done the slow burn “will-they, won’t-they” relationship is handled here even if you just want them to get together already. Compared to all their network contemporaries at the time, Jim and Pam were actually quite refreshing.
Wife and I recently watched the fan episodes on Peacock, with like 15 minutes of extra deleted scenes added back in, and not only was the actual deputy in the sheriff's office shocked that Dwight had a uniform, he took out a notebook and started asking Dwight the things he had done in his line of duty and started writing them down, presumably to pursue criminal charges.
@@andrewdunn8778such a great scene. I’ve had the show on dvd for years, and I’ve always thought most deleted scenes from the first four seasons were somehow funnier than what was already in the episodes. I haven’t seen any of those longer episodes on peacock but it was a great idea for them to add some of those. Some of the show’s best moments live in the deleted scenes
I wish this watched the extended episodes on Peacock. They show it's two Bob Vance, Vance Refrigeration workers, but also shows Dwight telling a Cop about all the illegal things he did with the uniform. So many extra scenes form a ton of episodes from the first 4 seasons? I forget how many episodes have extended editions
Green urine also can be caused by propofol (Diprivan), a strong medicine that helps people sleep or relax before surgery. Health problems. A rare disease called familial benign hypercalcemia can cause children to have blue urine. Urinary tract infections caused by a certain type of bacteria can cause green urine.
We used to get random drug tests to play sports in high school. They dropped a big case of water down for 5 or 6 of us. Had us drink up so we could go pee, and would hassle you if you don't go in a timely manner. My bladder was wrecked for the rest of the day.
@@demonzabrak I drink nothing but water! I knew what was going to happen. When you start drinking more water daily, it's like a non-stop bathroom breaks. It was during homeroom, and they wanted us out by the end. The good news is the teachers didn't care if you just told them you were selected. I did it once, and it's probably the only time I felt like it was truly random. One of the kids when I did it was just in the chess club. That's when I found out that drug testing for competitive clubs was the norm too. I feel worse for the kids who aren't water drinkers.
The thing with Jim and Pam is most of the time on sitcoms the main plot is a couple and then there’s other characters like an annoying boss or a dumb friend in the background. With The Office what happens is the annoying boss is the main character, and the romance is happenning in the background. It’s very subtle, it takes its time. Ricky Gervais’s worry was to get Jim and Pam just right. I think they did a great job with their relationship. But It’s not everyone who gets it because it’s usually so silent and subtle
This episode may be the most quotable "The Office" episode ever... it's so DOPE, it had me TRIPPING over myself, every joke had me HOOKED, I just CO-CAIN'T with this craziness lol
FYI, speed is not cocaine. Speed is slang for amphetamine. Blow is correct though. You need to know these things when your buying. If you don't, you will make yourself and that's a bad thing in the eyes of a dealer. Merry Christmas!
On the topic of peeing in front of people, aside from urinals, I hadn’t. I enlisted and they were like “here’s your cup” and these two dudes are just sat there like “Go on” and I’m like “Okay” so I turn and they’re like “Woah, cowboy, turn around, we’re here for you” and I was like “oh” needless to say, it took me a good actual 15 minutes to do. It reached a point of the chief there saying “C’mon man, it ain’t that serious. Just breathe.” Haha
My buddy and I had to get tested for a work agency at the same time to request the same job and we both had to convince our sober friend to pee in two 5 Hour Energy bottles and we tapped it underneath our testies and passes. Didn’t consider having to removed the bottles after, all be it…
Fun fact, because of this episode, I learned what marihuana looked like, and I was able to identify a huge jar of it that I found in the woods and give it to the cops, (I was 11 at the time) and they ended up bringing down a part of an entire drug ring a little while after that. I remember feeling like, really important when I was showing the cops where I found it, because all of these adults were paying attention to me and treating me like an adult when they asked me questions, lol. To this day, I still wonder who put that jar there, as well as what their face looked like when they realized that it was gone.
If u take certo and put it in Gatorade. drink one 2 hours before the drug test and another 30 minutes before the test. And when u pee get the mid stream since the first and last part of ur pee is the dirtiest. I’ve done it so many times loll
They weren’t mocking wanting to be a police officer. Being a grown adult and thinking you have the moral/legal authority to act like a police officer when in reality your a salesman for a paper company is the complaint. Like they said, being a child and pretending/wanting to be a cop is fine but as an adult who’s not a cop it’s just wrong (unless you go through the process and actually become a cop). At the end of the day it’s a show for comedy and they were not pressed about it but you certainly seem to be.
"Coke, blow, and speed are all the same" Speed is actually Meth, probably thinking about "speedball" which is coke and heroin/morphine together. All of them horrible drugs that will ruin your life for decades just the same 😐
„blow cocaine and speed are all the same", thats actually not the case. speed is amphetamine, which besides parallels concerning the effects and most popular method of consuming, has nothing to do with cocaine. but crack is actually cocaine base, so there you go
I was hired for a job and during the first day of safety training they told us that we would be subject to random drug test and to expect it 3-4 a year. I was like "Hell no" I'm not one to go to work high or use drugs at work, but what I do on my own time is not the company's business. So I stayed for the week of training to get paid and then never went back.
Wait you guys think that speed and cocaine are the same thing? Lmaoo what? Speed is the slang used for amphetamines like adderall or Ritalin etc lol not slang for cocaine
“Then the tension is lost and the show needs that.” Welp you hit the nail on the head. After this event takes place, there’s a gradual decline in show quality. It gets by on the strength of the Michael/Dwight dynamic but every character goes through an extreme flanderization, every character, and the show loses touch with reality.
Why is Dwight being a cop a bad thing? The whole show you guys were like “Dwight cool. Jim needs ti back off” now that Dwight expresses his love for law enforcement and wanting to be an officer you guys are just turning on him.
