To celebrate Twice's comeback on Friday I decided to go a little crazy and do something I never did before and don't plan on repeating all that often, a deep dive. Doing this video, along with watching 'Sixteen' (on Patreon, hehe, I'm on ep 4) made me appreciate them so much more and I honestly feel like I just rediscovered them, What is Love is on another level! I thought I was dreaming, my once heart is so thankful. I like your takes on twice's songs, I also like the setup of this video reacting to multiple mvs especially when they're old mvs.
The amount of dedication to do a marathon before the cb I appreciate it so much and i know Onces as well, taking a dig dive and see their early releases as you have already seen their newer releases the growth of this group amazes me and to how they grow and mature not only as a group but through their music as well, Thank you for the reaction and I can’t wait for the cb too :)

appreciated this as a once!!! Don't stop yourself from loving Twice. I freaking swear, they are really different!!! If you have already the mental space to do, you must watch their Twiceland series, Time to Twice, i mean, all of their content!!! I swear. It will be a lot but they will make you feel so worthy of love and life. I love twice so much, they saved me countless times 💖
Every time I watch Like OOH-AHH I get a bit emotional at how far they have come. Their success was NOT guaranteed when they released LOA, JYPE was not doing great. They have really put in the work to get to where they are now. What is Love, for me is the most perfect example of 3rd Gen Kpop doing cute concept. NOBODY did it better than TWICE in 2018 when it came to the cute concept. That song is my favorite TWICE song, it has got me through some tough times and when I finally see it performed live one day I will likely sob. I am glad you enjoyed it
When I first saw that your reaction is 1 hour long, I got intimidated but watched anyway. Watching you fall in love with TWICE all over again because of What is Love melts my heart because What is Love is what really got me into them and is my favorite Twice song. Welcome to the fandom. We in this Twice s*** for life.
I can go on for days literally.. All I'll say is a quote from one of my top3 movies of all times (I'm old so I've seen a few) "This... is....from....Matilda...." (One of the best scenes in cinema with 2 top tier actors that need much more appreciation) "What is love?" also elevated my love for TWICE to an "obsession". It's kinda like I'm Leon and they are my 9 Matildas..
Twice, who has debuted for six years, is well-deserved first in terms of world influence. Twice is the third-generation top girl group officially certified by South Korea, and the cheering stick has also been exhibited in the History Museum as the world's kpop. TWICE has sold over 7.9 million albums in South Korea, making it the best-selling girl group in South Korea's history. The total global sales reached 11.3 million copies, ranking first among South Korean women's groups. On the UA-cam platform, TWICE is also the record holder for the most-viewed girl group for a music video with 100 million views, with 21 music videos reaching this viewing milestone. I think they are the best girl group ever!🥰
if you liked their early work, you should DEFINITELY check out TT, it's one of my favorite title songs and the song that made me fall in love with twice, all their songs are worth checking but, as a TT enthusiast, it's one of the best concepts twice has ever done!
As you can see in the intro of Cheer Up MV. They're at a house party when the girls acting like they didn't interested or even annoyed with the camera-MAN (our perspective). So the cameraman representing all the fans (since at that time Twice targerted the male audience, they chose to paint the camera blue and the song is about a boy that has crush on them too). And the rest of the MV start with this boy which is the cameraman, which is our perspective, looking deeply into the girls and reveal that they're just acting uninterested when in fact, they also like us back, you just need to put more effort. So in a way, Twice also telling us the fans that Twice is not all that, look into them more and you'll see the different charms that each members have. The different scene represent "filters" like in Insta filter (which is also had camera as their icon). Which is also the tease for their future album "Twicetagram"

In "What Is Love?" Nayeon's scenes were a reference to "The Princess Diaries"! If you've never seen it you have to, it's a classic teen coming-of-age movie.
Mate, I could feel how you were containing yourself through OOh Aah. After watching Sixteen, I felt the same way (and it gets rougher later). They have earned every single part of their success; quite a journey indeed. Some extra notes: *Jihyo injured her feet in the last part of that song while filming; still trucked along like a pro. *Jeongyeon was pushed to use short hair early on. She later set her style in her own way, and so did Chaeyoung (tatoos included). *It's theorized to be loosely connected to "Scientist". Twice was the cure, all along. *"Cheer up" was a critical point. Along with other group, it almost single handedly saved JYPE, as it was then in debt problems. *It also made Sana super popular, even among other artists. *Indeed the video takes cues from different movies, like ChungKing Express, Scream, Resident Evil, Sailor moon, etc. pointing to their personas. *"Alcohol Free" is likely the only rendition of a Bossa Nova + Mexican Cabaret with a Spanish guitar song in KPOP so far (nevermind the dissonance effects used in the background). *And yes, "What is love" show its different representations, some more twisted than others. Thanks for expressing your thoughts in such a thorough way. Really enhances the experience.
UUUUUGH WHY AM I CRYTHIS IS STUPID😂😂can someone please tell me I'm not the only one??! Idk why I keep crying whenever any "old" kpop song starts playing (I've been a fan since gen 2)
Such a long reaction but i enjoyed every second. Had lots to say forgot most after watching. Chaeyoung seems to be your bias, I have a hard time picking one member out in any group but not when it comes to Twice. Sana is my Bias and ULT (ultimate) Meaning out of all groups she's stands on top. That's only thanks to Corona a Lockdown and a Cheese Kimbap clip being thrown into my youtube feed that started my kpop journey. only thing i'll point out is at 52:16 during Dahyun's rap in the background the members make a bar and mina mixes and hands her a drink. it's very quick but you can search mina bartender for a compilation vid of when they performed live it's very creative and unique.
I also hope you check out the Japanese stuff in a seperate video. I think that you can feel a difference between the Korean songs and Japanese songs. Some of my favorite Twice songs are from their Japanese discography.
Besides the fact that I love all of your reactions... my head is basically a jukebox.. so thanks for that, I've had Haddaway stuck in my head now for days haha 😂 And Aeon Flux is one of my favorite movies ever. Finally someone who appreciates the movie and Charlize Theron
If you want to see more content of our Chaeng, you should check the melody project Switch to me and Off my face, on those Chaeyoung looks completely amazing and her voice is incredible, you should really check them out and fall definitely for her💕
You Will more love to Twice if you knew Twice B-side. Twice B-side is masterpiece, please react to Twice Eyes wide open album. You Will not regret. Love your reaction to Twice, and keep it up.
Twice one of the biggest names of KPOP. Some say their concept are too cute, some may dislike it but it does not change how Twice ruled the KPOP world especially Cheer Up up to What is Love, that is a whole 3 years straight being one of the biggest girlgroup with BlackPink, Red Velvet and GFriend. Won 3 straight Song Of The Year Cheer Up, Signal, and What is Love. Number 1 in Albums sales and top 3 in most Award Show Wins following BTS and EXO. Twice is a name you could think if you ask what is KPOP.
My favorite song "What is Love?" You loved the song, but believe me the same song can make you cry also. Just watch the acoustic version of What is love......Other ONCEs will know what I am talking about...😭😭😭😭
'cheer up', the camera head man, can be anyone, like when you saw someone, you might need time to know them (who them really are?), some might not just as you saw at that time. just my opinion anyway. :D (and TWICE not just title track, they so much more in their b-sides.) have a good day. :)
Reacting twice? Subbed... I hope to see you react to their b-sides as well, it's totally a banger after a banger like Taste of Love, Formula of Love, Feel Special, and other albums (including japanese b-sides), and some of the lyrics of their songs were written by most of the members themselves.
Fun Fact about Sana falling/slipping from that bus, it wasn't intentional at all lmao that's why Sana laughed at the end, one of her characteristics is being so clumsy but so cute like a hamster 🐹 (that's her representative animal emoji btw) I am just glad they included it in the mv, it's just so cute lmao😭
Ok, BuT nOw YoU aLsO hAvE tO rEaCt To ThEsE fIvE oThEr ViDeOs Kidding of course. This is already a huge video, thank you so much. Yeah, some people like to do these deep dives regularly and then there are insane people that react to every single MV from a group in one video. I've seen ThatsSoKelvii do this several times. His video for Loona is over 3 and a half hours long, the Mamamoo video goes beyond 4 hours and the one he did for BTS goes on for more than five hours. And his analysis is nowhere near as deep and long as yours. You'd probably need twice (ha!) or triple that amount of time. So imagine this: it's 2015, the new girl group from JYP is just debuting with a very bright and upbeat sound and the first thing you see in the video is a zombie. Way to make an impression. It's been so long since I've seen it, I actually forgot how interesting the video for Cheer Up was. Alcohol-Free is just such a perfect relaxed summer vibe. But it's kinda funny that the title track is so chill and then all the b-sides on that album are hella groovy and funky, almost disco-like. What Is Love just shows me how weirdly different my perception of time is when it comes to movies vs kpop. La La Land is still a relatively "recent" movie to me but WIL is one of the "old" Twice songs. To be reminded here that La La Land in fact came out two years before What Is Love messes with my head a bit. I guess that's due to the kpop industry moving at a much faster pace than the movie industry. I'm actually kind of surprised at how much I enjoyed Ooh-Ahh and Cheer Up here. Back when I took my first proper dive into Kpop in 2020, IIRC Twice were the fourth group I checked out after (G)I-DLE, BTS and Blackpink. So I was very new to Kpop and the three groups I mentioned lean more towards the badass side, right? I did not vibe with the cheerful, cutesy sound of Twice's early music. It was only with What is Love and everything that came out after 2018 that I started to enjoy them. But now hearing it again, maybe I should give those older albums another chance. My tastes have opened up a lot and I've gained an appreciation for the more girly and cute sounds over the past two years. I guess I just wasn't ready for it back them.

9:14 fun fact: it's not scripted. Sana got sliped by incident
JIHYO tested positive for COVID-19 on August 24.
really?!

Ok, BuT nOw YoU aLsO hAvE tO rEaCt To ThEsE fIvE oThEr ViDeOs
Kidding of course.
I love you ❤
where's my favorite way back in 2016 where's TT

Please react to Likey, it's one of their best songs :)
It's one of their most famous one's, it's how I got to know them. If you wanna combine it with other songs, I'd recommend TT and Signal :)
