I really appreciate you telling us your conclusion upfront and then explaining why. It may just be my stylistic preference, but I think many others will be receptive to that too.
Thanks! I got so annoyed watching other reviews where it takes so long to get to the point that I decided I'm just putting the conclusion up front now.
I had the ulalov for almost a couple years and just got the ekg. I was fairly happy with it but started rusting and having the issue where it is not sensing the kettle. It tends to overshoot the temperature but worked fine. The pour was nice too. The EkG has been much better holding the temp exactly as you want. I really dont like the restricted pour and in the last couple days havent figured out how to pour with it without straining my wrist. Not being able to alter the pour speed seems to be affecting my coffee flavor (using a hario v60).
If you can find a deal on a new or used one, that also is a factor. Personally I managed to find a barely used Stagg for 90 bucks, though a couple minor things bug me I'm glad I bought it.
Great review! I love that you give your opinion right up front! You mentioned that you wish the Fellow poured faster. Have you checked out the Fellow Corvo?
Hypnotrain ;) If you want a true gongfu kettle get kamjove. They’re made for it. These too slow & not practical especially when you need the strong pour on compressed tea’s

Thanks! And yes I have. It's great, but I just really love the feeling of pouring with the goose neck spout, so I still prefer that one.
We must put water to max sign or not ex. We can put 0.4 l for heat ot not
