Impressive, good to see the army filling out. I was reading today about a painter who used contrast paint on a white primed horse … but he applies a second coat! I have been doing one one coat of contrast, followed by a thinned standard paint. The contrast goes everywhere to kill the white and my second coat doesn’t have to be so thorough.
Great work Stephen. I’ve been using the speed paints on some ancient figures lately and been happy with the results but I wasn’t sure they’d work so well for Napoleonics. Looks like I might have to rethink that view. 🙂
Thanks, i have just got into the habit of big bases, since the day's of impetus rules. It dose limit the rules you can play butim a solo wargamer these day's.

These Prussians are looking great. Your big base 28s are a fantastic project! Thanks for sharing

Thanks, mate. i was a bit sceptical at first, but a few experiments later, i think i have found the right combination.
very nicely painted figures, i use that apothecary white and its a good whitish to use and a light dry brush of white after make it look nice
Thanks John, it definitely has a good effect, and I will be working on my Italian's soon
perfect prussians )

Big bases? Hmm, kind of brave…
Somewhat limits the variety of rules you can play.
They do look nice, however.
