Helping others can be an expression of the ego too: affirming a positive opinion of yourself, feeling someone else needs you, etc.

I try to take everything I hear, dissect it, and take out the good bits for me. This is the first video re kabbalah which contained some bits that made sense. thank you.

the whole world should watch this and we would grow as human beings. i cannot believe this video only has less than 15,000 views. i believe it is because the title is difficult to pass on to others. maybe change the title because no one wants to admit they are unsatisfied and that is why they watched it.

These Kabbalah videos are great because they all begin with some concept that makes sense but then the concept is extrapolated into black and white absolutes and ends with some really bizarre conclusions not based in reality whatsoever. What a trip!

An interesting isolated way to look at it. It would be better described as first expanding one's awareness to understanding self's connectedness to the survival and pleasure of family, groups, all humanity & all life. Then it's a matter of continually setting & accomplishing new goals to improve all these things (including oneself). Constant improvement & accomplishment of one's sphere of influence brings constant happiness. That would include helping others to become aware, effective & happy.

Presenting beliefs as facts doesnt make it a fact to others though, but a theory. Belief i think can best be defined as a personally aquired explanation. Fact is many times a dangerous word to attach ones beliefs to.

That is a large point in the essence of bestowing upon others, but Kabbalah will also emphasize that the feeling of long-lasting pleasure is obtained through the progression into the spiritual "worlds", and in essence, establishing a connection with the creator. In a simplistic philosophical sense, the reason we are never satisfied is due to the "G-d Hole" dilemma. We lack a connection to the Creator, and thus fill that hole with mindless pleasures deriving from our ego.

what about empathy or love knowing pleasure is not the ends rather that good is pleasure causes happiness not happiness causing pleasure

I must be a natural kabbalahist cause ive spent my life thinking and coming up with these same ideas. After being burnt by religion im afraid of believing in organized beliefs. What separates kabbalah from philosophy?

Some people realize that the purpose of life is -wait for it- to find your purpose! Once someone is alive, it's their choice what is important. Problem is that you can't shake this idea that there's got to be a specific, all-encompassing purpose for living. What makes you believe this? The only thing the Kabbalah will tell you is what it's writers' purposes for life were. You decide whether that makes sense to you, justified or not. The real question is, why is their purpose 'more correct'?

you can't kill your ego, just try and persuade it to let go of the newly aquired power which it grips so tightly. We are our egos. Its the very thing that seperates us from the garden, the id.

I did not mention religion once. Everything I said is out of Kabbalah's teachings. This video is of Kabbalah. The man in the video is the student of the proprietor of the Bnei Baruch center of Kabbalah studies, Dr. Michael Laitman. Click ARIfilms, it is all Kabbalah. This is not religion. ARI is "The Lion", Rabbi Isaac Luria, who is the proprietor of Lurianic Kabbalah. I acknowledge your sentiments to keep "Religion" out of this, but I advise you to do research into what you are watching.

That is not a question, it is a presupposition that causes the people you are supposed to be enlightening into buying into your belief that we are never satisfied and is part of the reason that you are blind to the truth. Most people are satisfied and comfortably numb state of inaction. Most people don't move until fear of pain, perceived pain or pain causes them to move. Just look at society. The smallest percentage of human achievement comes from pursuit of pleasure.

  • @yoooyoyooo
    @yoooyoyooo 14 років тому

Yeah but. I fulfilled a lot of other people "needs" and yet after some time ego satisfaction and gratification fades a way and you are back to square one. How do you solve that ? The truth is that minds are bottomless pits and whatever you do you cant fill it up. So basically freedom comes by stopping the process all together. That means renouncing the mind all together. At least thats what I think.

the reason why we aren't satisfied because we always want what ever gets us into that feeling of being in "heaven" or pleasure. you subconsciously want to feel that heaven on earth by addictions and satisfying physical needs. the only pleasure that will last you a lifetime is to practice meditation, and stay in the present moment, that means still you mind of thoughts. im satisfied about life 90% of the time, cuz i find pleasure in being in the NOW. :)

WRONG! We do more to avoid pain than gain pleasure. It is a bigger evolutionary drive.

@meeeeeeee8 No. What he means by bestowing to others is more complicated. He means bestowing to others for the sake of the benefit of the whole of humanity or "the Creator". He does NOT mean by fulfilling other people's EGOISTIC needs. :)

A baby experienced happines even before he was born. Thats what give him human quality, of course for a baby in the whomb the happines is not a ferrari, maybe is just the relaxation of his mother when she is in the shower.

And about purpose. You seem to have adopted a belief that the sole purpose of everyone's life is exactly the purpose held by the writers of kabbala. And so you have chosen only YOUR purpose for life. Many people (I venture to say "most") move from one purpose to another. Some concede that to quell the hunger in their bellies is purpose enuf.
"you are confirming that this world was built for (certain purposes)."
Yeah, NO. And please don't infer a builder. It's so anthropomorphizing.

I guess Madonna managed to earn enough money and fame that she couldn't find any pleasure in getting things for her own any more. She had fulfilled all of those needs that normal people are struggling all their life ,she got all the plasure from satisfying her own needs so in order to fell plasure agian she embraced Kabbalah...............hey you know what?....maybe someday the super richest 10% of the world population will embrace Kabbalah...wouldn't that be great for the majority of us that will need to stay away from it untill we gat some decent life quality on this planet?
