Always love Homecomin'. Just went on my last trip and ate at the bar. Strawberry lemonade, fried chicken salad and the chocolate pecan pie. It was great. I wish they would sell jars of the blackberry fig jam and red pepper jam.
Went to homecomin’ twice last December during my visit to Disney. Got to tried both the avocado toast and short rib dishes and the short rib one is so delicious, totally recommend. Also the jam that come with the biscuits so good

This makes me want to come to Orlando just to eat here. Forget about park tickets- I just need to go to Homecomin’! I could totally hop on a flight and do that- I only live 963 miles away!! 😂😢😢😢 one day!!!
Serving such huge portions that customers can bring back leftovers seems odd for a restaurant in a resort area where people may not be readily able to handle leftovers. Not all hotel rooms have refrigerators or microwaves, or many customers may be on their way to the parks and would rather not detour back to their rooms. I suspect there's a great deal of food waste.
You can always share the meal. I believe all Disney rooms do have a refrigerator. And since Disney Springs buses do not go to the parks during breakfast hours, you're stopping at the resort anyway.
Why do these restaurants hate vegetables? I try my best to love Chef Arts, but the fact it’s hard to get veggies outside of a salad is off putting. I love sautéed or grilled veg. They really need a fresh grilled carrot or asparagus side at this joint! sautéed okra! There are so many options that aren’t a starch.
1. Was Emma on a time crunch for this? 2. Why keep the reporters secret since AJ shows up in the live chats? 3. Should state what the final cost of the meal is.
Poor Emma, we shall miss her but she took one for the team. Seriously, though, that was a lot of heavy food. I'm also from the south and still live in Georgia so when I'm away from home, I don't need southern food. My problem with most of those places is they serve "nouveau" southern food. Not the food Mama and Granny made (or for that matter what you can get just down the street in that little Mom and Pop place) so not for me. If that chicken wasn't soaked over night in brine then dredged in flour, eggs and buttermilk and fried in an iron skillet, nope. If that gravy wasn't made using the dregs of that fried chicken, nope. If those bisquits weren't made with crisco, buttermilk and shaped by hand from a bowl that has been "seasoned" for years, nope. But I get how a lot of people like the place.
