I can't even imagine all the great music we didn't get to hear. She's been gone for thirty years, but would be only fifty-four if she'd lived. What a loss.
I'm org. from the BIG city of Berry, Alabama. I used to watch her on Country Boy Eddie every morning playing the banjo. That girl sure could play !!! I was not aware of her passing till today. What a great loss. ROLL TIDE !!!
She was about 17 yrs when this was recorded. She was GREAT !!! I use to see her on TV. It hurt me real bad when I found out that she had died. I didn't know it till years later. A very sweet young lady !
Good Lord she played the steel guitar, too. I had no idea. I knew she was an awesome banjo player, but this is the first I've seen her play anything else. She really gives that Emmons steel life.
Just watched all Wendy's videos back to back... never a bad performance! Everything played wonderfully well with a talent to be admired and envied. Absolutely brilliant!! Thank you for posting!!
Not very good? Are you kidding me. What planet do you live on. At 12 she could play 11 instruments without lesson one.. please keep ugly comments to yourself. Her mother reads these things.
How rude! You obviously have no clue what you are talking about. Wendy did not just play a instrument good, she excelled to perfection! Wendy was very under rated. She was natural born talent through and through. Also Wendy was kind, loving, caring, humble and always had the best attitude. Please practice the notion “If you do not have anything nice to say, do not say anything at all”
@@stacygodfrey4939 I'm with you Stacy, I'm a 65 year old pedal steel player, and I struggle to play steel as well as she did at 17!. Oh, and banjo and how many other instruments too?! And she made it look easy, thank you Lord for bringing us this angel...
Passed away at age 23...She was just a baby...
No telling what impact she would've made if she was still with us.
She was spectacular!
I remember watching Wendy shame she left so soon what a talent
I'm a 65 year old steel player, what she does at 0:47 is just amazing!

So sad we lost her, what a gorgeous talented girl!
Girl had talent by the train 🚂 load and a wonderful soul.
A southern belle of the first source.
Wow! Y’all got some fine ladies down yonder.

She's so talented even the other musicians are enthralled. Can't keep their eyes off her.. Amazing ..

Younger version of Barbara Mandrell with all the instruments she could play!! Would like to have seen them play together!
She was an incredible and talented musician!! I wish that she was still alive today!

Wendy left this world way too young.
💓💓💓💓I love it gorgeous 💓💓💓💓
Lawdy mercy Wendy!
Ohhh boy, Wendy's hair being upstaged by the bass player. And as usual, drooling young guys in the front row. Wish I was one of them.
Rest in peace angel 💜
Yes, I just wiki-ed her. I did not know that she died soooo young, tragic.
SUPER
Thanks In Advance...!!! ;)
She would play 2 more years after this
I get the feeling she was a special talent. Reminds me of Randy Rhoads. So much talent gone too soon.

Prettier than Marie Osmond. And THAT is going some. So sad.
So I guess I have crush on a dead woman who died when I was 3 :/

She was born with a bad heart and passed away in 1987 at the age of 23.
