I had looked on classifieds and cheapest apartment there costs 56000.
A perfect storm is brewing in the United States. Inflation, bank collapse, severe drought in the agricultural belt, recession, food shortages, diesel fuel and heating oil shortages, baby formula shortages, available automobile shortages and prices, the price of living place. It's all coming together and it could lead to a real disaster towards the end of this year (or sooner). With inflation currently at about 6%, my primary concern is how to maximize my savings/retirement fund of about $300k which has been sitting duck since forever with zero to no gains.
How do you protect yourself from Romas taking your house when you are not there?
Looking for them 5000 but I can’t find it 😊
Do you need to apply for citizenship in Spain in order to buy a property?
Hello! No, you don't have to be a resident or a citizen to purchase property in Spain. 🙂
Just discovered your channel today and yes, subscribed :) My wife (born in Chile - parents from Spain) and I are going to be relocating 'somewhere' in Spain. So, Thank you for introducing us to Pego, and we look forward to exploring your Channel. We will be in Spain the month of September looking at Real Estate. If you can recommend a RE Agent/Lawyer to assist us, we'd appreciate it... bunches!!
Thanks for watching and subscribing! Send me an email at info@traveltomoney.com and I'll send you some information. 🙂
Wow, I didn’t know about Pego! Thank you !
Thank YOU for watching! 😁
But it is not possible . House prizes is much, much more! I am living in Denia!
I bought my first house in Pego in 2018 for 20k, my second house in 2022 for $5k, and my third house in 2023 for $9k. The street isn't awesome, but the views are amazing. The first house was the best deal because it needed very little work. I think for anyone wanting a house they can move into with only minor renovations, you need at least $50k. The last two homes I bought were directly from owners, so no added agent costs.
Hi! Bought a townhouse in Pego 5 years ago and moved here 2 years ago. LOVE Pego. I think we're in the same street... 💞
How cool! Maybe I'll meet you in October!
@@traveltomoney That would be great! Pop in for coffee - or gin... ☕ 😎🍹
This journey is very interesting. Do you have any knowledge of schools in the area?
Hi Jeff, I don't know a lot about schools. Are you wondering about the local public schools or about international school options?
@traveltomoney thank you for the quick reply. I would be looking at public schools. I am looking for our kids to be part of the society/culture but a good education.
Where did you find your realtor/agent for your Pego purchases? Can you share the contact?
The agent for my first purchase was the one also selling the house. I asked him to represent us both since I was making a full price offer. Unfortunately, he has since retired. 😔
Hi Love to have a small townhouse just like yours in Spain, now I am going to study more about Pego. Thank you so much, Pa from Thailand.
Awesome! Thank you for watching! 😁
Please dear Friend! could you change this configuration, because I like to much your video, but I Need understand better , I Need that you put IDIOM: SPANISh please. please. Thank you very much!!I'm interested in Pego a lot.!!
For the people that own property in Spain: how do you deal with the constant threat of okupas? Seems like a hassle to me to be on constant look out for people moving into your house. You have to call the police within 24 hours for the police to do anything about it. Even if you just leave for a weekend, you’ll have to constantly check cameras. I don’t know how that works out but reading news it seems like a total mess. Even happens to renters…come back after vacation and their rental is occupied and if it is for more than 24hrs you are out of luck.
How to buy a new house
Hi, it seams very lovely 🥰. Is it possible to renovate a house and sell it for profit? Would it take long to sell? Thank you ☺️
Yes, it is possible. You have to keep in mind that you pay about 25% capital gains tax if you sell, and homes here don't sell for massive amounts, but there could still be a small profit. 🙂
Ok lady you have convinced me. I will come to Pego. How much would a house cost there?
Is it safe to lock and go an empty property in Pego? I heared about squaters in Spain.
Hi there! It's pretty important to make sure your property is secure. Squatters usually prey upon the most vulnerable people, for example, an older woman who may not visit her property often. On my street, we have a Whatsapp group with a lot of members who just look out for each other's properties. It's not common that anything happens, but making friends in the area is really helpful.
I really appreciate your reply, Nicole. We will be exploring Puglia in Italy and Pego, Spain soon to choose where to retire. Thank you.
Sounds lovely ,thinking of buying a house there very soon ..thank you for all ur welcome advice ..im from ireland ..
Lovely! Thank you for watching. Let me know if we end up being neighbors. 🙂
@@traveltomoney sure will ..😁
Señora we are in Valencia.. saw your video and came. How can we contact you or someone?
Hi, I love Pego too. I bought an old townhouse there 7 years ago and absolutely love it and yes the Indian is just the best one ever also the owners at the Casino Bar are so nice and always welcoming. We’re from the UK and are back there end of November for 3 months, can’t wait 👍
We're neighbors! I may be there in November or December so maybe I'll see you around. 🙂
I'm about to buy a house in Pego (just outside - in the the campo) - so hello neighbor :)
How exciting! Hello and welcome to the area!

Now I'm intrigued by Pego! Are there libraries in your town? I really love my local library (in the US) and want to find one in whatever place I end up (abroad).
Thanks for watching! I'm not aware of a library in Pego. I've asked my town group so I'll let you know if I hear back. 🙂
From one of the ladies I our town: Yes, it's in the Casa de Cultura. Carrer Sant Domènec, 5, 03780 Pego, Alicante
Yes, there is a nice library next to the cathedral. It has a nice English book section.
@@lisaross3051 Nice! I can't imagine living without a local library :)
@@kerimiddaugh8383 me neither
Hi were travelling to pego in June to look at property to renovate , in particular a house where the agent has advised that its mainly a Romani area , from your experience are these areas friendly?
Hi Ian, it sounds like you're probably looking at a house on my street. I haven't had any major problems, and many of the families you mentioned are very kind, however, there are a few who are outliers. I've never found it to be dangerous or anything like that, but some people feel more comfortable than others. There are also a lot of expats on the street.
@@traveltomoney thank you for your reply , hopefully we will like the area when we come to have a look round
Yeah and am supposed to believe you, and you don't even know your bills, what they mean????? You my friend are just trying to rack points on UA-cam. Don't take us for fools.
Are you even talking about something from this video? Your comment doesn't fit the content of the video at all. You're very clearly a rude and disrespectful person. Everything I talk about in all my videos is my true experience. I'm sorry if you've been so jaded by life that you aren't capable of processing authenticity. But may I suggest that in future comments that you ask questions instead of making incorrect assumptions.
