I test drove the A110 s ... the next day i ordered an A110 GT in fire orange. 1 year later : bloody fantastic car, fun and impressive handling and steering. Engine has great torque already low end . Great performance . And icing on the cake : fuel consumption almost like a city car if you drive normally thanks to the low weight and 7 auto dct. People constantly stop me asking about the car, it's already an instant classic.

Fantastic car and it represents a lot of car for the money. They have great residuals too so I can see why it's one of your favourite cars due to the overall package. I enjoyed driving both the S and the standard A110 on track myselt over the last few years and it offers a rival to the Porsche Cayman which is great as that car kinda has had the mid level sports car market to itself. Healthy competition and another option for people to go for 👍

Good review overall Tish. I’m not sure if I agree with your comments about the suspension though. I wouldn’t describe it as firm. One of the key selling points about the standard 110 that most reviewers mention is the compliance of the suspension and how well damped it is. It is definitely daily drivable if you can manage with the limited boot space.

The volume buttons on the column mean that you can still put pressure on the wheel to steer whilst using them. If you have volume etc buttons on the steering wheel you are actually taking thumb & thus hand pressure off of the wheel when using them, as well as having more visible clutter. Love the enthusiasm for the car, great stuff

I do wish it were available her. It'll have stiff competition from the rear-engined legend from Germany -- the 911; or the mid engined Porsche 768. "Fifty grand" is less than I expected!

10:20 it's become a cliché every motor journalist who does a test about a renault group car likes to complain, moan about the volume/skip track stalk lol
Personally I prefer it being a stalk, I can easily skip tracks, change, radio station, volume without looking since it's tactile and ideally located without having to remove my hands from the steering wheel.
Much better than if the controls were on the steering wheel.
It's not for nothing Renault have not changed it in over 30 years, people who actually drive renaults day in,day out actually like it.

New job? Lovely colour although it has to be spotlessly clean to work. I really want one of these in GT trim but the fact you can't get a couple of carry on's in it makes it just too impractical for anything other than a razz round the block. It is effectively tethered to your house because of it. Shame.

Forgot to mention that access to the motor (changing oil etc) is not very practical. There are two luggage compartiments, they allow indeed to take the necessary with you for a weekend, not really to do the shopping for one week for a couple. The design is alright, at least if you don't mind retrostyling. It's indeed not the biggest car, but it is fortunately enough bigger than the original Alpine 110. Hopefully one day the same 10 or so % increase could also be done for a similar retrostyled (Ferrari) Dino 246, who knows. Everyone who made reviews about this car on UA-cam seem to be very positive, except one or two Lotus-lovers, who still prefer their brand. I assume some Porsche lovers too will have reservations. For the moment being, sales don't seem to be massive in the UK, the French however - coccorico - apparantly have been waiting for a long time for the return of this iconic rallyecar....
