  • I take a look at a cool compact collapsible stove made by EFI and selling under different names and colors. I have the Gerry model.

Yes, it is quite a cool design. There are so many variations of a theme out there that it takes posts like yours to make us aware of them.
Me, if I ever decided to get one, I would go for the fuel connection adapter in that I like to use my stuff. Pot size .. nothing that a bicycle spoke or two, some ferrules and wire would not solve.
Nice share .. thanks. Take care ..

FWIW, looks like yours has been sat on. The blue base appears dished in at the apex and should be convex. The needle valve can be fitted with a piece of BIC pen ink tube and then a 1/8 inch ID small engine Tygon fuel line will fit tightly over it. With the correct Lindal Valve used on modern fuel cartridges you can make it work without spending tons of $$. I run mine with an old Olicamp brand orange knob Lindal valve.

These actually came with a bolt to hold the halves together when closed up. And you can take a small hose that fits really tight on the lindall valve, then a bigger hose that fits over that, and get an isobutane regulated barbed valve and make your own hose. It's really easy, and much cheaper. Like $6 for the regulator valve and some scrap hose

Hmm, I vaguely remember a bolt, I'll have to check my buddy's stove and see if I can find a similar bolt. Of course the problem with lose gear it that they are quickly lost 🙂

i picked up a 2 quart pathfinder bushpot, seems like it is more functional than the zebra billy pot, but not as well polished. the patrhfinder seems better usable, cant wait to try it out

2 quart is a good size especially if cooking meals other than just boiling water also good if cooking to two or three people like I did.

I just found my parents Hank Roberts version of this stove, my mom put a crochet pot holder inside to keep the rattling down along with a small lighter. I'm hoping to find or assemble a conversion hose and regulator for more modern fuel tanks.

I have seen conversion hoses on eBay and Amazon.
