One of the best dogs I ever had was a Boxer/ Boston Terrier cross that the lady made me bring home at just 4 weeks old! The bond we had was so wonderful and she was so easily trained! She was my beloved fur baby for 141/2 yrs til she got cancer! Growing up we had a pit that was a great farm guardian..he watched for anything that didn't belong on our 110 acres while our collie watched over our dairy herd! Pits make very good dogs when they have good humans!
I couldn't agree with you more as far as Pits being great dogs. It's the crappy humans that mistreat them that make them aggressive. It actually goes against everything they were bred to be. They are great protectors, but that is because they are alert and athletic, not because they are dangerous. When raised properly (as with anything), they are love-bugs.
Your goats look so happy. You make sure every single goat has their attention and scratches and make sure they get their appropriate food portions. I watch other farms where they have so many that they never get the attention and love you provide yours.
Really cute puppy, very young to leave his Mum though not allowed till 8-10 weeks in UK and not allowed out or mix until they have all their vaccines, so different in America, know you love all your animals, i promise i'm not criticising you ❤❤
Typically a puppy isn’t taken from the mom until at least 8 to 10 weeks here in the US. It’s atypical for a pup to be taken from the mom so early. This isn’t common here either.
Nothing against K&S but I'm super shocked he's that young. I worry about him not being immunized enough to be outside at all... parvo is no joke. He wouldn't be strong enough to survive. Gotta be honest, I'm a little stressed, worried for him and our sweet K&S.
The new little Guy is adorable. He's going to be a Big Guy judging by the size of his paws. I rescued a Pit/Catahoula/Boxer mix who was also away from his mom too soon. He was supplemented with puppy formula for a while at that point when he was in foster before I got him at 5 months old. One Big thing I can recommend to you is to try to figure out a way to teach him bite inhibition. If he goes to nibble on your hands too much yelp loudly to startle him so that he knows to back off. His mama would have taught him this but he's not going to have that benefit. Unfortunately my guy never learned that from his mama or while he was in foster and as a result I have a 14 month old 65 lb big boy who still is very "mouthy" with me especially if he's tired. He's getting a little bit better about it but its still a challenge. If you can try to address that now it will help you a lot later. Having a big young dog that sometimes doesn't know the difference between your hand and a toy can be painful! You're very right about the nipping thing. Mine does the Pit nipping/nibbling thing as what seems like a way of soothing him when he's overtired/anxious. A blanket and a chew bone or antler helps a lot with that. You guys will do well caring for that pup. Just do lots of research on best way to care for puppies that are weaned too early and be mindful of the fact that his immune system is still very much at risk at this age and you'll be fine. He's a lucky pup to be with you two.
Just so you know guys it's natural for a goat with triplets or quads to wean them earlier than a single or doubles because it's a much bigger strain on their bodies!!! They know when their bodies need to replenish in order to be healthy!!! Blue is naturally going to wean earlier this time & it's ok!!! The babies are already eating grain & hay so they'll do great!!! Love Y'all & all the Doss Family & God Bless!!!❤❤❤❤
Regarding wasps, don’t forget the brown paper sacks. Blow air in sack and hang it up. Can’t explain it, the wasps will see the sack and automatically leave. They are territorial, so I think they think someone claimed the area first.
@@nancy-katharynmcgraw2669plus mama had a huge litter and they were more than she could feed properly. I agree the puppy is too young under normal circumstances, but this was not normal circumstances and an urgent decision needed to be made by the owners. And who better to trust with such a young pup than Kyle and Shannon. As long as he still gets milk (I believe it’s goats milk), he should be fine. He will be loved and spoiled.
Food bowl aggression-I know that one. The fix is to walk by the bowl when your dog is eating and drop something good in the bowl. Keep walking by the bowl when they are eating and keep dropping treats in their bowl. It works! Good luck with your new puppy.
Pitties are some of the best dogs.. Got a bad reputation but if you beat and starve your poodle it can be super aggressive.. I love my boy so loyal and cuddles always
I’ve had Pits for 15yrs or a little longer and they can be mouthy so watch for that. It’s not in a mean way in my experiences. Also they can be aggressive when playing so set good ground rules . The head shake I have found is a Pittie thing as well. They are very loyal and will protect you with everything they have. They need jobs and live to please. That is why so many are exploited with fighting. Little man is beyond adorable and I’m so happy to see that you weren’t turned off by him being part Pittie🥰🥰🥰
Hello, all and the little one has such beautiful markings. And the baby goatlets are getting so big. Thank you for sharing with us and take us on your journey 😊
Really, pups are usually weaned at 8 weeks and able to leave mom. So our vet would have us supplement them with warm PET milk ( evaporated milk) and an egg yoke. They still need milk, but not cow milk from the store. ❤😊
Kevin is using a mix of puppy biscuits soaked with goats milk - their mum really likes it, too! - But yes the supplementing with the milk mix to provide the stuff theiy are missing - or mama doesnt have enough
"And that's a wrap". That last shot was priceless. He's so stinking adorable. You guys are amazing with your animals. You always make me smile. Much love, and prayers, from over here, in Tennessee. 😊❤🙏
Cattledogs are mouthy, because they are a herding bread, they get called heel bitters, they are fast learners, you might want to get nylabones, they are also hard chewers and they last the longest, because of the breeds, heavy bites, and kong toys, just be persistent on no teeth on skin, he is so adorable
My adult grandson had a blue pit mix. He took training classes with him. The best thing I learned was to not play tug of war with the dog as it enforces aggression, which we didn’t ever want. He was the sweetest, most loyal dog . Also, we put the puppy pads in front of the door, with a bell hanging from the doorknob. He learned to ring the bell to go out.
I love you little puppy! That is one sweet and ferocious growl that little guys has. Herc is going to have an amazing work partner. Have fun with him while he's little, they don't stay that way long enough. God bless!
The mics sound great guys. Kyle you should really do voice overs you're great at it😂 Spruce says remember I'm related to Bruceifer 😂 The puppy is going to do great 👍"call him tip" for the white tip. I just wanna smell his puppy breath! Thanks so much for making me smile all the time ❤️
Shanon, didn't you guys say that the pups mom couldn't take care of the large litter? Some seem to be confused about getting little Mr. So young! You guys are doing a wonderful job with the nutrition that you are making sure your animals get, it shows!
Little guy is so adorable. A few weeks a neighbors Pit got out of the yard I stood him away and he coward . I felt so bad for him I invited him on my closed in patio and call police sometimes they know where they belong especially on habitual runners. He called our local dog catcher and I posted on our Little towns community page where he was. He was the sweetest dog ever after my adult grandson went inside I don't think he cared for the officer either till he got down and talk in a low voice next to him. Before that day I hated Pit dogs but he was just a doll. Must have a great owner. ❤
How cute is that pup. He's doing really good for being so young, but I am sure that it is a lot of work. Do you think it was Spruce that opened the gate with Blue and the others? He sure looked like he knew what he was doing when he started pushing on the gate. Stay warm and healthy. Blessings from Minnesota!
That pup has such beautiful markings! I now think (agreeing with Mary Sharon, in live comments) Samson is a great name for him...God gave Samson super strength, and that pup already has some major muscle going😊❤!
Really working hard being pet parents 😊 are they training you or are you training them, LOL, I know right, some days it may be hard to tell. You guys are doing so amazing. Pat each other on the back. ❤😊 Keep up the awesome videos.🙏👍
Wow, 4.5 week old puppy is soooo young. I know that you covered it all in your last video. It’s just sad to me. Nothing against you guys - he couldn’t have a better home no matter what anyone says. He will most definitely live his best life with you. I adore all of your babies. They are sooo loved! Y’all have a blessed day!
I agree on all points. I didn't quite catch his age in the last video but wow... that wouldn't fly over here in Germany - unless it was an emergeny of some sorts, maybe. I got looked at with disdain because I brought my dog, who's now almost 12-years old, home at barely 7-weeks old - and that was only because the whole litter of 8 was being attacked by mom (one bitten dead, nd my girl injured) and the owners had absolutely no room to keep them seperated long term (accidental litter), so they needed to find homes asap.
I love the way you research everything before you do anything. With the way you work with your animals it won’t be long they will be together. Take care and stay strong. God bless
What a perfect closing, puppy falling asleep, precious 🥰. He’s going to be a great addition to your family. Going to be fun watching him grow even from afar. The little goatlets are growing leaps and bounds, Blu is a terrific mom. What a blessing to end my day with your wonderful video. Love and prayers 😇💜
Everybody needs a hay bucket, you get a hay bucket, you get a hay bucket, everyone gets a hay bucket!!! You have the cutest baby boy ever, he is going to be a big one. My Pitty always had to be touching me somehow, leaning up against me or a paw on my leg or foot and I loved him so much. Can you possibly adjust the hinges a bit so the latch goes a little deeper into the lock? Or maybe put a 3/4 inch x 2 extension on the lock side and move the locking mechanism over some? Trying to think outside the box, I like to McGyver things, lol.
Thunder or Titan are the two names I thought of when I saw him tonight, but I Know Whatever Name Y’all Come up with Will Be So Perfect for the Little Guy❣️Thanks 🙏🏻 for Sharing Him and ALL the Rest of Your Herd There on Your Farm, and God Bless 🤲🏻 the Love 💜 You Have For ALL of the Animals in Your Care❣️🌷🥰🌷
I know you’re getting a lot of comments about his age still. Maybe in the next video remind everyone why you had to take him and how now all the puppies have a better chance of surviving. If I had the same situation with my dog, and I had to take a puppy off its mom at 4 weeks, I couldn’t think of anyone better than the both of you. You will do everything you can to raise that puppy up strong and healthy. I do like the name Rocky. - Sue Sweeten in AZ
Kyle and Shannon all you Farminals are so cute! I just really love listening to Spruce chatting up like crazy. The goatlets just can't be topped. Thank you for sharing this video with us.🤗🤗💞💞💙💙
Kyle, their is a flower that will make wasp disappear from your area. I can't think of it I started typing instead of looking it up for you sorry. We have 2 Cane Corso Betty and Fred for our farm. I love your new pup. ❤
At this age is great time to train nail trimming...especially those dew Claws. I always train my dogs to lay on their backs so I can better see the full nail to never quick ❤❤😊
My Cocker Spaniel is 9 years old now and was trained as a pup to use puppy pads. She has never gone outside. The advantage is that I never have to let her outside in the morning or middle of the night. She has never gotten into a scuffle with neighbor dogs while outside. The disadvantage is that I had to find a cheaper pad for her and I spend about $100 to $125 per year for potty pads. Your little Houligan is such a tough guy. So adorable.
I have ten dogs and my experience of having had them from being puppies of various ages is that your puppy needs to be around hurk asap to learn what he should have been learning from his mother. Also he’ll need supplemental milk suitable for puppies. Keeping your pup away from hurk can and probably won’t be helpful for his natural development ❤️
Love your channel 💕 y'all! A couple tips wrt your pup that i have done for my pups...while i used a crate like yours, i used a 36"H excercize pen around the outside of it. I used that area as the P&P area because most doggos will not releave themselves where they eat & sleep. Put potty pads in there away from their bed/food/water. I started using washable pads bcs they started shreading the paper/plastic ones after a while!!! Also, pet potty pads are way more expensive than "human" incontinence pads for people beds & they are bigger too. I've had 2 Boston Terriers and our 3 yr old is a chewer. Yours is close to if not already teething. Nylabone have pet safe chews, they're not too hard for those "razor" sharp teefies! Frozen carrots work too! I don't know any bully breed that doesn't like chewing!!!! Oh, one other thing i did was put a "Ma'ma Dog" heartbeat pillow in their bed. Very soothing for them 💓 hearing/feeling the heartbeat! I'm coming up on 72 and I've had a dog in my life since I was 4-5 years old. Good luck with all your babies, especially that precious pup! 💖 He's beautiful!
The new puppy is SO adorable!!! Glad you guys where able to help out the neighbor by taking one. Having big litters can be hard on the moms. 4 weeks is normally too young to take from the mom, but y'all are doing wonderful.
I"M ANITA: This Little One is ADorable! It will be fun watching him grow. Wonder what Herc will think of him? All the Goats are Happy and Healthy! Great Job Y'all Luv From Tenn. God Bless Y'all and God Bless All the Animals.
Man, hes got that lil pitty back end walk. I love it!! Hes just beautiful...... Pittys are VERY SMART, and loyal dogs. If you start when he gets bout 2/3 months on commands, hell pick up up Like nothin. All they wanna do is plz their mom n dad. Youre really gonna enjoy him guys. They LOVE tug a dog..... If you have any questions id be happy to help. Ive raised them since i was 23. 68 now
He's a puppy. He is teething! That's why he nibbles on things. Always have chew toys for him to chew on, otherwise he'll find shoes, or other things he can chew on. 😊
Kyle, you are such a perfectionist, I cannot believe that you are talking about doing a half baked solution on your gate. My mom always said, “If you re going to do the project, do it all the way.” That is your philosophy too, so what are you doin’?
A friend of mine found a puppy near her work and brought it to me. It was a pitt. I had 3 kids, youngest was 2 1/2 yo. Some of the neighbors thought I was nuts to keep him. He became our yard dog as we had a marsh behind the house. (lived in Mississippi at the time) Kept snakes and other wildlife out of our yard. He was so great with all the neighborhood kids and visitors. Pitt pups are very trainable, but I suggest socializing him as much as possible. Ours would alert to strangers but with a word, he knew to relax.
Great video I just love the new puppy. He is really young and that’s the best time to get them really. You can start their training early and the way and the way you want. It was great seeing all the goatlets and big goats. I can’t wait until they can all be in the big pen together. Be safe, enjoy your life and God Bless. Love your shop Shannon.
You two make all animal lovers proud. You want to keep animals folks, here is a shining example of how to do it.Animals respond to love ,just as humans do.Love you guys and all your gorgeous animals.I believe Spruce is a unique hybrid..a humanimal..😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Aaahh neck nuts I’m out of here. Omg Kyle I laughed to hard. Shannon girl u have your hands full of laughs with him huh! That was the best thing I’ve heard all week
I got my cocker Spangler at the same age my vet was amazed how much he grew in 2 weeks gained over 2 lbs. U are doing wonderful with him. He at adult weight was 43 pounds was the large cocker an not over weight. Just give him lots of love.
Your pup is adorable. I just got 2 new pups last weekend. Boxer is Trixie and my Bernadoodle is Lucy. They are so much work. Not sure what I was thinking but they sure have stolen my heart. Your fur baby is so sweet. I’d get him use to his name early. Just saying.
Blue is a very good and protective moma The new goatlets are growing fast. She is doing a good job taking care of them. The new puppy is a nice addition to the farm; I thought of Asher, Oreo, Peppercorn, Spoty, Spicey ideas for puppy names. He looks very cute.
Puppy runs are so cute 🥰 and he is adorable. Love his colours. He will live his best life with you both on Shady Acres and learn lots from you both too. “That’s a big step mom! Can you help me please.” Could watch him playing just as much as watching the goatlets jumping around. 💕and prayers to all at Shady Acres from Irene in Perth, Australia 🇦🇺
Y’all should write a children’s book with Spruce , Hercules and all the goats and the goatlets in a children’s book.❤
I agree & have suggested that.
Sounds like a great idea and income. You can write and self publish or put on Audible with Kyle different voices. Too funny
Love that idea!!!
Good idea!
They have talked about this! Hope it happens...❤🙏

Our breeder is 12 weeks! Wow anything less than 8 is a yikes to me.
unless a mother is hurt or killed a pup stays with their momma.
Well, Kyle's animal voice comments are in top form today! LOL!😂

If a Pit is raised with love and kindness, you won't have a better dog. They are such a loving breed.

A dog on its back is a submissive position. It needs great trust in its hooman pack members not to harm it
y'all are amazing!
There are washable dog pads you can reuse. ♻️
suggestion.. price check bed pads for humans.
They're bigger also
@@factsmatter4030 I am using pads for humans. Great idea though, I appreciate it.
❤ great video.
Write a children’s book - Spruce on the Loose! Between Spruce, Herc, Bleu & all the other goats it would be wonderful.
Good luck with the gate. The new pup is so cute. GOD bless y'all.
Sleepy pup so cute. All the animals looked calmer today. Love y'all and your animals. Amazing job❤❤
oh wow, he's so stinkin cute !
I'm surprised at that age , that you don't have the puppy in your trailer with you. He's such a young baby.
4 1/2 weeks old is still infant. I’m surprised he doesn’t cry for his momma.
Loved this ❤
I"M ANITA: This Little One is ADorable! It will be fun watching him grow. Wonder what Herc will think of him? All the Goats are Happy and Healthy! Great Job Y'all Luv From Tenn. God Bless Y'all and God Bless All the Animals.

Lucky puppy, best possible life ever. 🕊
He's a puppy.
He is teething!
That's why he nibbles on things.
Always have chew toys for him to chew on, otherwise he'll find shoes, or other things he can chew on. 😊
The sound is great with microphones❤
❤️
Kyle, you are such a perfectionist, I cannot believe that you are talking about doing a half baked solution on your gate. My mom always said, “If you re going to do the project, do it all the way.” That is your philosophy too, so what are you doin’?
Yes! Your mics are awsome!
❤️
The little guys growls while playing were adorable! He is so cute. He's got himself a wonderful home with you all❤
A friend of mine found a puppy near her work and brought it to me.
Yes Kyle that is how ya potty train him 👏 😀 your a natural !!❤❤
You two make all animal lovers proud. You want to keep animals folks, here is a shining example of how to do it.Animals respond to love ,just as humans do.Love you guys and all your gorgeous animals.I believe Spruce is a unique hybrid..a humanimal..😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Your puppy is so cute
Such a sweet puppy. Tell Spruce he needs to stop trying to open the door to the goatlets pen because I said so and I’m older than he is.
😂
The puppy is so cute 🥰 ❤❤❤
I got my cocker Spangler at the same age my vet was amazed how much he grew in 2 weeks gained over 2 lbs. U are doing wonderful with him. He at adult weight was 43 pounds was the large cocker an not over weight. Just give him lots of love.
Your pup is adorable. I just got 2 new pups last weekend. Boxer is Trixie and my Bernadoodle is Lucy. They are so much work. Not sure what I was thinking but they sure have stolen my heart. Your fur baby is so sweet. I’d get him use to his name early. Just saying.
He’s responding to Buddy 🤩
He is beautiful. I can’t believe he’s only 4 weeks old. ❤❤
My almost 6 yr old dog still goes on his puppy pads when I'm away for longer than usual. That baby boy is adorable. I want daily updates! lol ❤
Thank you for sharing your journey ✌️💞🤟
The little guy is adorable. I love watching as your family grows! ❤
Prayers as always for you all 🙏, especially lil pup ❤
The puppy is quite a tugger.. tugging on his little rope.. so cute and adorable ❤❤❤
This video is cuteness overload the puppy is so Ferocious😂😂😂😂❤❤
The puppy is Adorable!❤
