Just in case anyone is curious, Roblox bans people with "YT" in their names because it quote on quote " directing users off platform" and Roblox doesn't want that apperently...
And yet in the gamepage, they allow yt, twitter, and discord

Pretty sure having "YT" isn't bannable, as they promote the ability to link your channel to your Roblox profile. Kinda counter-intuitive in my opinion.

Something weird: Roblox could do a temporary ban instead and give the banned person a reason so that the person could change the username.

not so odd as u might think. i suspect its because of roblox not being available in china right now, meaning they quote on quote 'forgot' about the china accounts (removed them cus chinese gamers cant use the chinese roblox version anyways cus its not available right now). idk why they didnt just keep the accounts for when chinese roblox comes back, but that could be for a plethora of reasons im unaware of.

I think roblox should add that each player has 1 free username change so we can avoid any bans, like changing username costs 1K and most unlikely players have any robux, but if they have YT in their name with some reason, they are screwed

Naming yourself after anything in the workspace would break things if it's got script to it.
This is really sad, my first ever account had YT in it and it wouldn't affect me alot if it was banned since it's not my main but it was made all the way back in july of 2020.

fun fact: on “history of Roblox, I guess.” the reason why they don’t allow people to have spaces is because the people who had spaces in their name pretend to be a hacker with the same user they just copy a user with the same username but with no spaces.

I had been using the same 1st and last name of mine, and to this day since i joined somewhere around 2019 i have not been banned so its been 5 years, i don't know how to change it but at one time i had gotten an email wanted me to change the name due to the personal name, though it had not been chosen and i still didnt recieve message about it, and i basically doxxed myself without knowing it

As someone with YT in one of their accounts, I can confirm it's not banned.
My username is copyrighted and I can’t pay $10 to change my username but if Roblox bans me for it not offering to change my username for free, I’ll get $10,000,000 by suing them.

I think it's both. When I saw this I immediately changed my display name, but if you have it in ur real username you cant do anything because it still shows up as "former user" if you spend 1k to change it.
