Sounds like sick lids? lol... Honestly, before you even spoke of getting another type of fish I've always imagined you with these fish since they're colorful, interestingly territorial and as close to a marine tank as one can get without the extra hassles. TOO CUTE the way you say, Mmp, mmm, not gunna happen at 14:26 about telling which fish you have in the next room : D
I bet oscars
I think it's cichlids
Solid Gold Aquatics discus would be my guess
Oscars would be a good bet and an awesome choice
Why are her and king of diy both torturing us jdkksnsna lol
Halle The weirdo yessssssss!!!!
I think she watches him and thats why she does that
But for me 1 its enough
Ecartts Yeah I was also thinking that! Lol
Ecartts I know she does. She also follows him on Instagram.
Because anticipation is often the best part of a supposed desire, lol...
Totally a dolphin, I know its a mammal but I mean it lives in water.
lol!
My guess would be African Cichlids so they could be Blue Dolphins. :)
Manatee forsure
Chess Hedonist same
I thought she was gonna get a mermaid :(
I think it's chiclids
teezee baby agree
I was thinking the same thing. Cichlids would love that setup. Only thing I would be worried about with cichlids the hood. I've had oscars which can easily push up on the glass when they get older.
Its blood parrots
That's a nice driftwood. Totally looks like a Discus setup to me.
Discus
I really hope and think so
Maxon M She said she wasn't getting discus if I remember correctly.
or Some type of cichlids
Mad Maxon i also think
I'm secretly hoping it's just like 100 neon tetras or something
Luke Frampton Discus I reckon
I think it's discus. Driftwood in the tank will create soft water which discus thrive in. I'd like to see her get African Cichlids eventually, but this tank is not setup for AC's. They need hard water.
Lookin good Jenny!
Loving the direction of these new vids Jen! Keep them coming.. the whole family loves them.
Great job on the hard scape Jenny tank looks amazing can't wait to see what the fish you're putting in that tank have a great day and stay gold🐟🐟
so excited!!
I love it whenever you post a new video Jennie!! my Friday has been made :)
Aw man i'm so excited to see them!!
I'm thinking discus, angelfish, or some kind of cichlid.
Discus and angelfish are cichlids though.
I know. sorry I thought I put other in there. I meant to say or some kind of other cichlid.
flowerhorn
Amazing aquarium
Jennie! You are such a tease! I cant wait for next Friday's video!
Discus? Angels??? Im so excited!
Just wanna say I have that exact filter without the UV light and it's been running for three years and still works the same. They're really good for the price.
Nice tank
Never been real interested in goldfish(always been a cichlid guy). But I do love your channel. Your tanks are very clean and fish look well taken care of. I can always appreciate that no matter what kind of fish are kept. I'm guessing cichlids for the new tank. Everyone always catches the cichlid bug eventually lol.
As far as the aquatop... ive had it before like you said its no fluval or eheim but it will get the job done as long as you don't overdo the stocklist.
Tannins are good!!!! Fish love them and they have beneficial effects on the fish 🤗
When she says " stay gold"
I think of the song " stay gold " by " run the jewels " lol
Her water bills must be insane!
Seeing the hardscape setup I think it would be discus cause they look beautiful in hardscaped tanks
Dude this would have been a perfect collab opportunity for joey the king of DIY!!! Opportunity missed!!!
I've personally had good luck with the Aquatop filters- I would recommend tossing the bio balls and getting some Seachem matrix or similar media to replace them. Btw, I'm going to guess discus.....
It´s a beautiful hardscape, It would be nice some Discus in that aquarium... Good Luck with de new fish c:
Like the primer on that canister, beats trying to do it by sucking on the hose.
Depends on the set up of the tank i think discus, because she has heater and all the equipment on it
Would be a perfect home for African chiclids. And they are the prettiest and most colorful of the chiclids.
13:32 omg that cut... XD the driftwood is very nicely arranged, it looks really nice. I'd like to see it finished and established, maybe with some of the rocks you mentioned?
Altum angels would be cool in that tank!
You could've used carbon for the 1st month to absorb the tannins
Also I remember in one of your old videos when you showed us your fish and you were talking about how most of your fish are males. I recently learned that it's because more males come in a spawn of the temperature is higher, and most breeders keep their temperatures higher because they hatch faster . Because of this, there are more males and when there are females since they're more rare, the breeders keep them to breed more. :-)
Discus fish for sure !!
When you literally threw the carbon away I actually laughed out loud Haha
i think carbon is good for when you initially set up an aquarium just to help get the water quality under control but after a couple weeks you really don't need it-i'm also a little impatient and like to use carbon to clear up the water and get the cycle started faster haha, definitely not necessary for people who have more patience than me!
She and King of DIY are both killing me hahaha
To bad he already has a wife..the are a greet match 🙂
I wasn't talking about anything to do with romance or the two even meeting but alrighty then. I'm talking about the fact that they are both doing "mystery fish/project" series and keeping their viewers in suspense. I have no idea why you're talking about them being together or how you interpreted my comment that way.
I do not interpreted your comment that way... I just thought they would have been a great match .It was meant good and loving no defense.
I had my driftwood going on 2 months still turning my water brown! Ur aquarium looking good. =)
What kind of wood? Manzanita seems best as it releasing minimal tannins. Try boiling it for several hours. If it's to big, boil one end at a time. A good week long soak in a bathtub helps too. Cheers!
I totally agree with you, I don't use carbon either. Love the current USA satellite light I use those too. Tank is looking really good love the background.
I bought some new fish and they've been quarantined for 2 weeks, was going to put them in the main tank soon, but you're right I should wait longer..🤔 One of them was separated from the group all day today.
"Alright let's open this" *cat jumps up there* maybe not haha
Hi from Europa ,love you videos♡
That's a good aquascape for discus
The aqua top is basically the same as my SunSun canister filter i use for my cichlids. That background looks familiar too. bet i know what youre getting
i love the background
People keep guessing discus but I don't think so. I mean aren't they like really hard to take care of? Doesn't seem like she would spend a bunch of money for a display tank on fish that could just die even if she did everything correctly.
i think they are discus. they're my dream fishes so im hoping you got some discus fishes. ❤❤❤
I can't wait to see the new fish!!! I think they're discusses😋
Btw: Could you please make a video about how to breed goldfish???
Chick is outta control with the fishies!! I'll set up an intervention, who's with me?
Hhaahhaa!! I love tannins!! I have three blackwater tanks BUT I keep bettas - they appreciate the tannins as well. 👍
Your new tank is beautiful!! I'm livin' this series!! 😀
YAAAASSS
YAYYYY!!!
@Solid Gold Aquatics i think they will be discus
You could put some very low light and mainatinence plants like anubias and java ferns. They also are very tough so they cannot be eaten by even cichlids. Also jungal Valisneria might be good for adding more green. I successfully keep java ferns with no fertilizer, but fertilizer would make them more sightly.
discus or angels, my personal two faviorte type of fish, and possible fish for this aquarium.
I'm so curious! :D
i was expecting to see the fish hahahahah
Very nice looking tank! How about some Severums? That's my official guess. Maybe with some Bolivian Rams. Orrrrr - Geophagus!
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM SO EXCITED FOR YOU !!!
ORANDA"S !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's definitely an Oscar
Guys it's obviously an aquatic unicorn. I have 936,837,194,938 of them in my 1 gallon fish bowl.
I CANT WAIT
Great Job Jennie and yes I agree rocks would be good. What type of Cichlids you getting. :)
i love it
oscar mybe. im excited
Im waiting for next video😂😂😂
Could you do a video on your whole house/fish room?
ok, it seems like DISCUS. also Anubis would look good growing on the wood. I know you said no planted tank , however your lighting will be sufficient :)
hmmm, freshwater fish that jumps.... butterfly fish? I have 2-inch gravel substrate because mine is planted betta fish tank. Have Amazone swords digging in the gravels haha. I would like to add extra one-inch gravels because recommended 3 to 4 inch. btw to get rid of the discoloration of driftwood away, need to soak it in the water for a month and keep changing the water.
I recently got a new black moor, he wast very healthy, but hes doing good now
That filter looks amazing compared to my bio-wheel. Wish I could afford it.
add carbon. carbon removes brownish color of the water and smells. also polish the water. you will get crystal clear water
Take out the wood and soak it in hot water. It'll remove the tannins faster. Also, you'll have to dump and refill what you're soaking the wood in several times during the process.
Hey Jenny, just wondering what filter medias you use on your aqua clear HOB filters for your goldfish? You mentioned that you think carbons are unnecessary and I kind of agree mostly because of the fact that it needs to be replaced often. What are your recommended substitutes for it? Thank you!
In the Aquaclear filters I just use the sponge that comes with it (for mechanical filtration) and ceramic bio-media on top of that. Works like a charm. :)
Awesome! Thank you so much :D!
Funny you say that goldfish don't jump, one of my beautiful butterflies jumped out while was sleeping. Very very sad, so I'm saying that you should keep lids on goldfish aquariums.
Great video Jenny watching it as I'm typing this LOL :-) 👍 it looks like you might be getting African cichlids ???
My guess is still angel fish or discus!!!
what was that light? i want one for my ten gallon!
I love your cat
JENNIE I LOVE YOU YOUR FISH AND YOUR VIDEOS!
Your getting cichlids! I think. I guessed that cause you only have one decoration and cichlids tear up decor
Will an Eheim Classic 350 be enough for a 50 gallon tank with 2 butterfly telescopes? The tank is bare
would it look good if the longer driftwoods faced the other side, like coming out from the corner ?
I used to share your stance on not using activated carbon in my filters until about 2 weeks ago when I was doing some research for my 150 gallon saltwater tank, though carbon can and will leach toxins back into the water, it should be changed relatively frequently. You already knew all that jazz though but the main reason I flipped my view was the water clarity and polishing effect the carbon has on my tanks. In my South American tank, I would experience a slight yellow tinge when I did my water changes-now I do not and it looks like my fish are floating in my living room. Carbon is a hot topic for debate and I was a nonbeliever but the positives outweighed the negatives in my case as my SA tank looks 10x better with crystal water.
Adding filter floss of some type will keep your tank crystal clear. I use polyester fiber (quilt batting) in a knee high nylon in my HOB filter. Just make sure it doesn't have fire-retardant added. You just need to replace the poly weekly and you can toss the carbon then. It should be placed after your sponges and before your media in the filter (HOB, sump or canister). It's cheap too...about 5 $ for a few cubic feet. I'm a fresh water guy but it works for saltwater tanks too plus you'll save a ton not buying carbon (saltwater tanks are spendy to maintain as it is)! Cheers
aqua top is the same as the sunsun canister filters..I have 8 sunsun aka aqua top that replaced my over priced fluval and ehiems.. glad I did since these so called cheap canisters out performed my ehiem and fluval..think you'll like the aquatop..
What aquarium stand is that?
where do you get your buckets? i can't find good buckets anywhere!
I think the fish might be some sort of pleco just because of the drift wood and having no plants
I'd recommend cutting your filter hosing to the minimum length needed to have maximum flow.
I hear that fluval 406 or others that are similar tend to leak, i have experienced it too; once or twice... Have your aquatop leaked yet cause im planning on replacing my really old fluval filter. I'm really liking the looks of aquatop especially the space that it provides for filtration! Also, how well does it agitate the surface?
haha, all the suspense , whats the length of this tank ?
"Anaerobic bacteria can proliferate." That cracked me up
discus or angel fish
What is the ideal water temp for gold fish?
OMG I want to know so bad!!
I don't own fish nor do I want to own any but these videos are so entertaining
Discus fish or angelfish for sure....
We have one of those green hooks.
solid gold aquatics i want your opinion wether to use gravel or sand
RPG Gaming what type of fish?
AGGGGHHHHHHHH SHOW USSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
