Do y'all have any tips for streamer fishing? I'm down in Northern California fishing the Truckee and upper forks of the American. Streamer fishing has been very frustrating for me. I've spent at least one day a week for the last year throwing meat and I haven't caught a single brown yet. I'm using a 6ft 2x leader, and I'm changing my fly color, size, and profile every 10-15 minutes. I change up my retrieves often. I've stripped like how you did in the video, I've tried the jerk strip, two hand stripping, and adding pauses. The worst part is on the Middle Fork of the American, I usually got 10-15 follows per float with my record being over 30 follows. They never commit. I've tried fishing sparser flies and stripping faster when they're on the fly. I've even caught sculpin on accident while nymphing and took pictures to tie the most perfect replica. It doesn't change a thing. It makes me sad looking at all the Instagram posts on the same river where they're catching browns over 30'". When I ask them for advice, they either tell me to figure it out for myself or tell me to do the exact same thing I'm doing. I caught a 20" brown nymphing once and had to delete the post because I was made fun of so much. People said that was small for that river. I'm just a 15 year old trying to figure out this streamer thing. I'm sick of being a laughing stock for small fish. Do you guys have any ideas what I could be doing wrong? I really want to catch a big brown
