I,bet the clock mechanics are up there now,as the belfy is litan up,and the clock faces,I don't think I could put up with Big Ben striking at least 4 times around the hour, what about people trying to sleep?
Belfry is aesthetically lit up and goes off at 1am. Because of all the noise in London as I’m sure you heard with all the sirens, the bells don’t cause any problems to those sleeping. Not many residential dwellings in close proximity.

I,think the clock faces are litan up all night till around 6am
Lights in the belfry go off after 1am so I red.

@@dave_dyl_1655 Why does the belfry go off at 1pm? What has that to do with traffic flow? Or right nobody living around that part.
@@jamesnicholson2503 nothing to do with traffic flow just energy saving. As not many people walking around the area at that time
@@dave_dyl_1655 Or yes,at 1am so there shouldn't be lol.Do police petrol around Big Ben and the whole house?
@@jamesnicholson2503 naturally there are police patrols at the gates of parliament but that’s about it. The area really is safe and plenty of traffic
