  • Ephesus Ruins
    This huge site, one of the best preserved ancient cities in the Mediterranean, will take most of the day to see every part in detail. It is easily approached by road from Selçuk, or by public transport from Kuşadası.

      ***** Selcuk is about 600 km from İstanbul , 50km from İzmir. You can come by bus or by train. If you will come by airplane, you can get the train from Adnan Menderes Airport .It takes 45 minutes.

    from wiki " Ephesus (/ˈɛfəsəs/;[1] Greek: Ἔφεσος Ephesos; Turkish: Efes; may ultimately derive from Hittite Apasa) was an ancient Greek city[2][3] on the coast of Ionia, three kilometres southwest of present-day Selçuk in İzmir Province, Turkey. " -link... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ephesus

      Both wrong and right. Though it was established by ancient Greeks, it was later conquered by Romans. Thus, there are a lot of buildings belonging to each of the cultures.

      FR refers to ancient Greeks and Romans (not Ottomans). You might want to improve your English first instead of insulting Turks and bragging about ancient Greeks who lived thousands of years ago.

    did the Roman and Greek occupation of Western Turkey intersect?

    • @peninah42
      @peninah42 8 років тому +2

      It was originally a Greek city, but had numerous powers come through, including the Lydians, Persians, etc. then later was willed to the Romans by the king of Pergamum.
