This podcasts reminds me that people really struggle with normal things as bad habits and not just drugs and alchohol… when Joe was talking about his McDonald’s cravings I just kept thinking “just don’t get it, it’s not hard” as I was driving to the beer store to grab my daily beers 😅

Ive loved king of queens since I was a young kid. When Carrie gets lasik eye surgery and Jerry stiller thinks she’s going to be blind he yells “don’t help her!” To Doug and it’s one of the funniest things ever. My family still uses that line to this day.

The new York concept of burritos is hilarious. As a girl raised in Mexican house hold in California. Burritos are a daily staple. And a breakfast burrito is one of the most popular.

As a Mexican-American who lived across the border from the birthplace of burritos, I need to say: Burritos are named after donkeys because they were made as transportable foods, Joe. They were made to travel. Traditionally they are just a flour tortilla and some kind of "guisado" which is stewed meat, maybe a slather of refried beans. All other added ingredtients are when they become "Americanized". That being said, San Diego's surf and turf burritos are my favorite.
Joes dead wrong, unwrapping a cold half of a burrito the next day is fantastic

Fun fact for Sal; McDonalds doesnt chop or blend their onions. They add a bag of dehydrated onions to a pitcher of water and let it sit for a minute. Even Outbacks food comes mostly in frozen bags nowadays lol
You should have done gyros vs burrito... Lasagna is a homemade feel good meal, burrito you hoover when you are in between meetings, wanting an easy dinner meal or you're drunk

Lasagna hands down. Listen, your grandmother is never going to make burritos, but she will likely make a damn fine lasagna. She may even do it special for Joe and put it in the tin foil pan.

I eat more burritos but I’m way more happy and satisfied while eating lasagna.
Exactly why this debate has me second guessing myself. Lasagne is top five all time foods for me but I’ve had 20x more burritos so I feel wrong relegating the burrito.

Lamb/chicken vindaloo is one of the best dishes you can get at an Indian restaurant if they do it right. Very simple dish but a proper spicy vindaloo is next level.
