Finally someone said something about Aramis. My all time favorite cologne been wearing it since 70's ! Yup that long. Thanks Max appreciate this video. Anyone who has not tried the classic original Aramis get your nose to it you will not be disappointed.
I think because they were marketed as women's fragrances many men iddn't even look at these. The original Calligraphy had a nice oud note in it too. The Rose is good for sure but I'm drawn a bit more to the Saffron personally. Thanks for shedding some light on these gems and especially for resurrecting your hidden gem series!
I have been wearing both of these fragrances, and indeed they are hidden gems, i kinda wanted them to stay hidden :-) Calligraphy Rose is an amazing complement garner (Especially on a middle eastern man like me). Amazing Myrrh and Rose and incense combination. Saffron is my favorite though.
My father's signature scent is the original Aramis Aramis, real powerhouse. As for calligraphy, smelled rose briefly in the summer, was too sweet, gonna retry it sometime soon since its getting a bit chillier. Considering I'm from a middle eastern country, its a bit hard to wear with the heat ironically.

Rose is like the whole bush was thrown into the wood chipper and you have a handful of blossom, twig and thorn mulch under your nose. Masculine rose, sweet and green and incense. They should burn this scent in the censer at church!

Aramis has had some great frags over the years. One of my favorite classics in fact called JHL!

I have both Calligraphy and Calligraphy Rose and I love them so much. Performance is just amazing. Hats off to Aramis!

saffron and rose are very similar but calligraphy saffron is much better..it lakes that weird not in the rose one I don't like
