The gift that keeps on giving, this is how I would describe your channel. Alas, each one I watch adds at least one or two more games to the want's list which is not good as we are attempting to trim down our collection! Going by your taste in games I wonder if you have looked at Roll Player? Dice chucking character building game. We used to have all the expansions but decided it bloated the game too much. Bad Company is cool, similar to Space Base, Luxor is another recommendation and Cottage Garden, Grand Austria Hotel and Meadow, these last three are all new to us and we thoroughly enjoy them. As we got older I didn't think we would still be playing games into our sixties (I'm 55, my wife is in her 60's but I didn't tell you that!) but after finding your channel I think there is hope for us. We've lost a few brain cells as years have gone by and we no longer play heavy weight games and lean more toward the light to medium weight. However, we still want to get back into games like Western Legends, Xia and Robinson Crusoe, it's the relearning the rules that's a bit daunting. The topic about plastic in games has been well and truly covered by others here in the comments, all I would say is, plastic is unavoidable and recyclable. I think for some game designs there is no getting away from it. Production quality of cardboard pieces has improved over the years, there was a time when cardboard chits and standees would split and fray after a few plays, nowadays playing pieces are a lot more rugged. You can spray cardboard components with a clear coat which helps to prevent the absorption which can be a major problem. Anyhow, looking forward to your next video.
I hope that some of the petty comments made by a few will not deter you from continuing with your channel that brings a million times more pleasure and joy than you can imagine. Best channel on the planet, keep being you! By the way, I found this: "Mlem" is an internet slang term used to describe the sound a dog or other animal makes when it sticks out its tongue to lick something, especially its own nose or chops. It's part of DoggoLingo.
Thanks for your enthusiasm and your list. I am a fan of the non-war gmts like Dominant Species and DS:Marine. As far as bidding mechanics that scale well the best for me is undoubtedly Keyflower. Keyflower is a midweight Euro in which you build a settlement and you bid for tiles with your meeples and so you have to balance your worker use between activations, acquisitions and sacrificial manoeuvres. It plays fantastically at all player counts 2-6. It's a 10/10 for my wife and me.
2024 has been quite a bit below last year for me in terms of new games that I enjoyed. My Top 10 of this year so far would be Windmill Valley, Wyrmspan, River of Gold, Ziggurat, Cities, Civolution, Foundations of Metropolis, the new Heroscape, Monkey Palace, and the new Neopets Battledome Trading Card Game.
Hello! I'm a big fan of Your channel and Your work. But I'm getting a bit annoyed with Your comment about plastic minis. On one hand You keep complaining about how plastic is bad for a planet and next You say massive praises about game like big Cat in The Box with way more plastic then Mandalorian. That is double standard. You complain about grey plastic and that part I fully understand and agree. Luckily there is plenty of ways to paint minis quickly. I love painting and it is a great and relaxing hobby. I understand that not everyone might like it. I wish I lived in USA as I would gladly help with that problem for You. Keep up fantastic work You do! I don't mind if You remove this comment (I would prefer to send it as private message) PS: Game from Herman Lutman from GMT on Your first place? ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!!! LOVE IT!!!
Certainly , you are correct. I failed to mention the Cat in the Box acrylic tokens, should have been screen printed wood. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Great list! Good timingbfor Christmas.😊
Thank you so much for the video! Good to know about Target games :)
Great list! Thanks for sharing it. We own 3 of the games on your top 10 list, plus several of the ones you mention at the beginning of the video.

Viceroy does 2p bidding well.
Polluting the planet? Dear Lord. So silly. Unsubscribed.
Why would you tell me? Lol!
So pedantic. Subscribed!
Imagine being in 2024 and you unsubscribe a UA-cam channel because its creator has environmental concerns! THAT is silly! 😂
