Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor while maintaining appropriate language for all ages, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself. - Розваги

I think this Man-Thing is comic book accurate where as the old Toy Biz figure they took some more creative license with the design. I prefer this more comic accurate version.

Man-Thing is my favorite Marvel character, so I was ecstatic to see the reveal of this new figure, I actually started my ML collecting with the TB Man-Thing figure, that being said, it was pretty a random of a BAF for this wave

Dude manthing has fans. I appreciate you doing this review, it actually helped me decide I would buy this figure. Also my boy has appeared in two games now, has a cameo in the MCU, and is in the current roster of the avengers ^^

man-thing was a member of a recent thunderbolts lineup as you said and this figure is based on that version.
I believe Man-Things popularity will rise with the growing popularity of the Weapon H comic, but that’s just me 🤷♂️.

Little late for it, but what about dark beast from Age of Apocalypse?
For those that don't know, Swamp Thing and Man Thing have the exact same powers and abilities, but Swamp Thing also has back up from the Decendents of The Green, both were made by the same creator and both were released nearly at the same time. I'm not sure if Swamp Thing is more intelligent than Man Thing or not, but from what I know, Man Thing is mute.

This figure was a surprise to me. I know little to nothing about the character outside of the issue when he teamed up with Cyclops after Jean's death but this figure is amazing. Also, I don't know how you can say the Toybiz figure is better when the ball thighs really ruin that one. Not to mention he looks way too lanky and not the way he should look. Lastly, it is a shame that Hasbro made a better swamp monster figure than DCC did this year.

Awesome review as always! I really love this MAN-THING figure. Something about it is alluring. I wasn’t going to build it at first; but the more I looked at the random left leg in my parts bucket, the more curious I got about building it. I finally gave up and started trading people for the rest of the parts I need. The last of them should be headed to me soon. I can’t wait to snap this thing together!

I think you're being a bit harsh Shart! I personally don't care at all about movie figs, so this awesome, detailed and well sculpted Man-Thing is the only reason I'd ever complete the wave. For Bronze Age fans like me, he's a must (I even have the TB one too) but hey, to each his own!
DC Swamp-thing is one of my favorite characters in comic books, and due to the similarities i like man thing quite a bit as well. Im thinking of buying the wave all at once, with Daredevil Bullseye and Man Thing as the most wanted. I really want Man thing for my Thunderbolts collection.

Hey Shart, a bit late to notice this but I just recently found this wave at retail and noticed something odd when I finally built the Man Thing BAF....There is a very specific intentional peg hole clearly deliberately sculpted in the top right shoulder? My amateur theory is that we are either going to get as part of a future wave, or were supposed to get as part of this wave, a small character figure similar to the Lockheed we get with Kitty. And I think it was supposed to be a Howard the Duck accessory ala the Man Thing with Howard Hero Clix. at least that's my personal theory.
Any input into this mystery, and if not, could you try and ask one of the Hasbro figure people at some point in the future what is actually up with that mysterious "peg hole" sculpt?

It looks too well defined to be a defect. Perhaps they did not have anything specific in mind, but they put it there to give fans the chance to use it if they have any fitting accessory.
I don't really know anything about Man-Thing but I kind of want him because I think it's cute in a weird way.

Hey Shartimus prime the Wal Marts in NC are selling Marvel Legends at $9.00 clearance . I noticed that the New displays in the toy aisle don't seem to have any space set aside for Marvel Legends and when I asked an employee about when the New legends waves would be in stock he said that he didn't think they would carry anymore being that so many were on clearance. Been to two Wal Marts and seen similar set ups at both .So is the same thing happening on the west coast ? And what do you think ?
I've noticed the same thing at my local Walmart in southern Massachusetts.. not so much clearance prices as they seem to have removed them from shelves altogether. They've been woefully behind for quite a while so no big deal to me, a lot of the Doctor Strange wave and GotG vol 2 wave 1 didn't seem to be selling much. Never saw figures from the X-Men Warlock BAF wave, GotG vol 2 wave 2 on sale at my Walmart at all. They still have a ton of DC Multiverse and (old) Black Series figures on sale, go figure.
Great review Shart! Yeah I was not overly excited for a new Man-Thing and i will probably use mine in another display just as a big creature. I think he will look cool fighting He-Man and those kinds of figures. How hard is it to dissasemble a BAF? I know sometimes you take them apart to assemble on camera but with the shoulders they most times peg in and I wasn't sure how you did that. The legs seem easy enough with heat or boil & pop.

Honestly, I would have been more excited for a BAF Kingpin or Luke Cage... I mean, Man-Thing doesn't look bad or anything, it just seems like thr figure comes out of nowhere in this line.

If you have the Howard the Duck that came with that one Silver Surfer you can always pose your Man-Thing with him. It works out pretty well.
