Last week I was in Chesterfield and feeling like shit. It was cold so I walked in to this old pub and read about this band in a thrown-away newspaper. I looked them up in my phone and then spent the next 2 hours being blown away! Thank you God for that!!!

blueslove61 The building helped too. The upstairs was all rehearsal rooms for bands & college students majoring in music. Joey wanted the store part to have good acoustics also. So many great times had in that building but sadly it just wasn’t turning a profit and after almost 30 years closed. Broke many hearts! We had never heard of The Shakes (original name) but the college kids talked about how great they were so we went that night. They blew us away! Jay Johnson came in heard one song and was on the phone. The rest you know.
I always have my ears open for something new in the music scene...........this group got my attention. I could listen to her sing all day; very powerful and full of soul. It's nice to hear something other than the same commercial shit all the time. Great group!!

Guys seriously. Get out there. On itunes. On the radio and especially in California. People are looking for good music classic like you guys. I want to see you guys go big.
I'm 50+ years old, so yeah, I'm old, but maybe at the same time you all can appreciate the number of performances I've seen in my life (i.e. - that's a lot of performances!). All I can say is that this 3:51 of music is as good as anything I've seen in probably 30 years. It is impressive on MULTIPLE levels. "Don't know where I'm gonna go, don't know what I'm goan do"!!!
This is what's needed in music today...great blend of soul and rock..even a little country sound to it...i really hope they take hold and blast the airwaves across the world...what a group..just about the music..nothing else...Brittany said they would write songs even if nobody listened..they love their craft and it shows.

This group is a big hit on KTHX 100.1 FM in Reno Nevada thanks to the stations flexible procedures for the jocks. I do not know the specifics of how this was picked to be played on a regular basis but every time it airs I turn the volume up to the max. Thanks Alabama Shakes! And thanks to KTHX in Reno!
