I am from Kenya and also called Caroline and Queen Wanga has truly inspired me so so much. I knew she was from Kenya immediately by her name and she is so right when you come to America you almost start seeing barriers. Like her I have always been my myself from day one. I have a dream that I have been scared to pursue because that path doesn't have people that look like me but she has pushed me to move forth and bring it to LIFE. Thank you Kenyan Queen. Wow.....I cried as she talked it felt like she was telling me go forth reach for the stars and lift everyone along the way with you. I am super grateful for seeing and listening to her tonight.
What a POWERHOUSE 💥 This interview was great! It would have been lovely to hear Caroline share more on her story and journey albeit the narration! Is there an extended version of this? Thank you for sharing! 👑
So are we just going to pretend that her comprised identity didn"t get her to where she wanted to be? I realize that she was able to change once she got the VP job but before that she played the game and played the role that was acceptable. Also, if we cant admit that corporate America is more accepting of foreigners from the black diaspora then there is no point.
this was so powerful! i saw a clip on tiktok and had to come find the full video. she’s awesome❤
‘Who you are is who you are.
If you cannot be who you are (or) where you are you change where you are not who you are’
