Skill is definitely correct when he says the tank is complicated to play. Although the tank has incredible burst damage potential, the enormous reload time makes it difficult to control an engagement. Your essentially out of combat for long stretches and are at the mercy of your team more than any other tank I could think of. You also have to be extra strategic when positioning yourself to unload.
It's a sniper in the game and that's all it is. Noobs get killed in this thing all the time especially players that don't understand double-bushing, unfamiliar with maps, and the right equipment.

I love my cobra but man the gun handling and aim time are more trollish than my fv4005. Its a hard tank to get used to.
In his hands it seems to hit and pen everything, which is really odd.

@Hooywamd00pe yeah its crazy. I have to literally be within 50 feet to hit my shots. The bloom and aim time is insane.
Amazing performance, but I need to say the obvious thing: in this game there shouldn't be tanks able to annihilate T10 med in 4,5s (no matter how hard to play or that the rest of stats is shit...)
I truly despise this tank, both playing as and against it. If the dictionary had a picture next to "stupidity", it would be this.

It's funny how diverse Battle Pass tanks are in terms of quality. Char, Phase and Cobra on one side, Kunze or KPz 3 on the other side.

I'm sure some keyboard worrier will call me out on this but I hat this tank! What a frustrating POS to play. It has ZERO armor and is targeted and destroyed VERY quickly and easily. In a way it's kinda like playing the 183 as you play and play, hoping for that magical situation where you can have an amazing battle all while you're pulling your hair out 49 out of 50 battles! Look, I'm an average or slightly average player, been playing tanks 14 years since beta, have all the tech tree tier 10's, have medical issues and am older now. This tank is enticing but it's really just another tank the belongs in the hacker/cheater world of purple 12k PR players! Such BS! Just like the blue haired politicians, they don't give a crap about the average Joe!

Very strange tank... its OP broken BUT it also very complicated to play, i have still not got it down properly... it baits you into making stupid mistakes because its so powerful, and im a player that plays assassination type tanks, ammo choice is also very important, i tried going full HESH, but i feel AP are overlooked a lot on this tank
I agree Gizzmo.. The full HESH is tempting. But the reduced pen definitely rears it’s ugly head. If forced to engage more heavily armored targets you can find yourself doing a measly 200 damage or less with a full clip, and then your essentially out of combat for a minute to reload. It’s a long wait… AP is a good option i agree.
@@Terrak16 yep especially early game if can't isolate targets and flank em.. especially with your poor speed.. but damn its dirty when you play it on your terms... I actually feel bad for my targets sometimes.

I just got the cobra today, gun handling is kinda bad and it feels funny to play in terms of mobility. Looking forward to getting good with it tho

I generally like what mr Skill is doing BUT its kinda interesting to always hear him "i dont hate arty players, i hate the mechanics as it works"...AND still he keeps reporting clickers simply cuz' they r hitting him...Especially in obvious situations... :/
If goldspam can be simply treated as "its part of the game, deal with it", WHY arty couldnt? Not to mention how many times arta got rekt while goldammo stays pretty much unchanged during the time...
Hey @Skill4LTU Why do you use improved aiming device instead of rotation mechanism for example?
Is 0.33 not enough?
Or does it actually benefit the gun handling in some way?
because IA reduce aim circle, irm boost your traverse speed and turrret rotation speed (which increase dispersion), the minus in the dispersion is just to compensate the increase of dispersion so not usefull (apart on artas and some triangles and even here experimental turbo is better since it give same benefits + some forward and reverse speed)
With both Stabs and Field Mods it becomes more important to buff base accuracy than after fire dispersion

The tank is NOT good, because it's RELOAD is simply TOO LONG... It's like almost DOUBLE compared other similar tanks.
They need to reduce its reload by like 10 Sec's.... Other similar 40 Sec tanks they are released like apoles need the same buffs, just different lengths.
For example, the Char 4 needs only like a 6 Sec Reload Buff and it will be just right, though I would like the Intra-clip reload to be slightly less, can be longer still, just a little less would be better.

@@quickyfrost751 ... Well, I'm a dark blue player, and I specialize in playing non-armored auto-loader style tanks like the Cobra, and I'm telling you it sucks in being able to be "consistent" in it, which is what defines a "good" tank for me in the game. The reload is just TOO LONG.
Sure, I'm sure people can do well in it, aka better players, but the average player won't be able to do well.
Even Skill4u admits it, he does say it's "broken" unlike my view, but he then also says only "good" players will do well in it, it's "hard" to play. So, really he's just trying to have it both ways, cause if it's "hard" for everyone else to play, then it's clearly NOT "broken" by definition. He's just admitting it's mostly only Unicorns who will do well in the tank.
@@leeuniverse You are not being objective with your definition there m8, reload on Cobra is not "too long" considering it can deal such a big ammount of damage in such a shoort time, reload has to be proportional to this so it can keep a certain balance, otherwise, everyone would be deleting with their Cobra machineguns and matches would be even shorter on average.
BZ-176 for example, its a broken tank, it has armor and it doesnt require great skill to perform decently, but in bad hands it will be on the backlines because the long reload.
But the same tank in the greasy and disgusting hands of a unicum could change the odds on a match.
Again, glass canons like Cobra and in general are not for everyone, simply by the fact that not everyone knows how to play with a tank that has no armor and a long reload, thats why most spotters get deleted on the first 2 minutes of the match.
try to show city maps and slaloms too...
